That's exactly what I was thinking. I mean if you support this game and it getting a 9.0, I don't see how CC doesn't deserve the same support.

As a new fan of "The World Ends With You", I shall be making a skin for my DSLite (using one of those custom transparent shields). I'll post screenies soon. Probably gonna be a wallpaper trimmed to DS size though. Still ^_^.

I've played FF CC, and as much as I love the story, I can't really place myself at awarding it the same 9.0 as "The World Ends With You". FF CC is more of an 8.5 for me, simply because the combat gets kinda repetitive, and is a bit too easy, especially considering the audience this game is built for (hardcore FF fans).

I've been looking forward to this title for quite some time now, it's nice to see it being recieved well critically. I hope it performs well at retail too.

I whent out to try and get my copy today, but it looks like it may be another late canadian release. Oh well.. i'm in the middle of exams and okami :D That, and i'm also thinking of picking up rondo of swords. Niche, tough as freakin nails Atlus title? yes please!

Oh, one last comment.. Handheld gaming owns. Seriously, it's amazing. I absolutly adore my psp and ds.

Techno: Prof Layton is godly. It's so charming, and fresh. Who would have thought little brain teaser/puzzles would make for such an engaging game. Have fun with it, it really is a gem. One of my favourite games this generation - i can't wait until we get the sequels.

I ordered it online this afternoon. It's coming in the mail.

It's nice to see a wholly original title from Square Enix turn out well, and I plan to reward their efforts with my money, so that they'll make more good, new, original things.

This now further proves that the best jrpgs this gen are on handhelds. Crisis Core for the PSP and The World Ends WIth You for the DS= AAA games. I can't wait to see what Square has in store next... and hopefully it better be something related to FF13 and vs13:evil:.

That's not entirely fair. The DS is selling like mad, that's true, but the PSP is proving to be quite impressive in that department too. Not to mention that although the PSP has seen loads of ports(which are good games still, just multiplats and in some cases inferior to console versions), but the psp still has seen great games. In fact, recently its been getting some really good games geared towards it, like crisis core, patapon and god of war.

But i digress, we shouldn't change this topic into a psp vs ds debate.. lets keep it about this incredibly unique and stylish game.

Crisis Core deserves the same support because its a good game. I'm just tired of being surrounded FF/DQ/KH games as it seems to be what SE is always releasing now and days.

• Same sty1e of character designs
• Same type of battle systems barring FFXII
• Same type of formats for gameplay
• Same types of general c1ass, spells, abilities for characters.

Yeah its time SE shook things up. I don't mind FF but I require something different and off beat now and again. I'm not denying their quality but even eating Steak every night for dinner would get tiresome at some point even if it was spiced up differently occasionally.

Crisis Core is nothing like any other FF title, nor is it's gameplay, or general mission design. And you listed spells twice. I agree that FF as a name is milked but it as a game design is hardly milked. A milked game (like the main iterations) shouldn't take 3+ years to make. Even the direct sequels play out very differently.

My only real issue with SE and FF/DQ (KH is still a bit too young to include) is the amount of remake/re-releases they do. That is the real milking.
