Your indies argument also fails to explore why PS4 scontinues to dominate the indie front, in spite of MS' moves to court indie developers.

Only fanboys think otherwise. I was listing games not on PS4 or Wii U. I made that clear.

casuals lol, they will never understand what a good game is. They rather watch animation clips, and play cinematic action set pieces. There's not much difference from cinema, and that's really not why I bought a console.

Actually the Xbox one is the worse console to own this gen. If you have a brain in your head and have access to the Internet, there should be no reason why anybody would choose a bone over a PS4

TBH in 30 years of gaming, out of all the consoles that have ever existed for me that I have never wanted to get; the XB1 is the one I have not wanted to get the most. That said, if i was given either a PS4 or an XB1 for free id just sell it for future PC upgrades or a bunch of games on Steam. I would likely get more money for a PS4 though.

If it was my only system this generation I wouldn't be annoyed with it but it's way less viable when you own multiple systems as compared to the Wii U or PS4.

But it's the only place I can get my Halo fix, and that means a lot to me. The controllers are also a huge plus, my Lunar White controller is a fucking dream.

@naughtyottsel22: I pointed out that Forza 6 is exclusive even though it's on PC because the PC version is F2P and stripped of content and doesn't have online multiplayer. And I'm not going to say imo after every opinion I make. Also bad battery life is not a light argument lol.

I play a lot more than fifa, but I don't play cutscene filled games with gameplay as shallow as a spring puddle. The pixar golden years are from the previous decade.

PS4 has a way better controller imo, least it doesn't hurt my hands after 30 minutes and works wonderfully with the genres I like plus it's insanely comfy. Easily my go-to controller this gen.

@Blabadon: That Lunar controller is sexy. I just bought the Halo 5 controller. I love it. And we do agree that Halo 5 is multiplayer of gen.

But it does have 6/10 Quantum Break and 720p multiplats and a controller that uses AA batteries.

No it's not. Even when you remove the PC from the equation, the PS4 beats it on all fronts.

1. General usability. The PS4 is an easier console to use. It's got a more intuitive OS, it has more features to connect yourself with your console remotely, it handles idling and content updates far better, and it simply loads faster allowing quicker access to all menus and interfaces.

2. Power. The PS4 is more powerful and it consistently shows in multiplatforms. So far there hasn't been a multiplatform game that is superior on the Xbox One.

3. Volume of games. The PS4 has more. Simple as that. The vast majority of games today are multiplatform, so those are on both platforms, but the PS4 also has more exclusives and a wider variety of genres to pick from.

4. Exclusive games. This is where it gets subjective, but I own both consoles for the exclusive games and outside of being a Halo fanboy and wanting a racing sim, there is nothing on the Xbox One that really screams a must-have unlike the PS4 which now has a couple of titles that are universally regarded as fantastic.

I own both and my PC. With my PC, the Xbox One becomes even more irrelevant now that some prior Xbox One exclusives are coming to the PC.

I gotta be honest, I don't really feel that Microsoft has anything to offer the home console segment of the videogames industry. Let's be honest, 99% of their exclusives end up on PC anyway.....probably best to let Sony, Nintendo, and maybe even someone new take a crack at the home console market. I don't even mean to disparage Xbox fans, I truly don't see a need for future Xbox home consoles. Just my opinion

@primorandomguy: the Halo controllers are great but the diamond grips on the back of the Lunar White are amazing small touches.

Halo is awesome but I'm not paying for Live currently along with PS+, which has a lot of my Vita and PS3 backlog hostage at this point.

I own everything including a high end gaming PC (980 ti's SLI'd), and to be honest I'm playing my xbox one and my Wii U more lately than my ps4 and my pc. My 3ds is getting a lot of love with Bravely Second soon, and I picked up Super Metroid to play through on there (never played it all the way through.

A lot will change next week as I'm getting collectors of editions of Uncharted 4 for PS4 and Doom for PC. They might be on the back burner though.

Good console? Sure, maybe.
