Not one of you have mentioned Perfect Dark which is supposed to see a XBLA Re-release this Winter.
Why have you not?
I don't know about you but this looks AMAZING!

While I'm excited for this game, XBLA games usually don't get much hype or even talk in System Wars. Still, with online play and a complete overhaul in graphics and support for actual dual analog, I hope for the game to do well. I read that the game plays well on a 360 controller.
You know.. Just a little wondering.. IMagine Perfect Dark in 3rd person with cover.:P
just because all the Rare games that came out on Nintendo Consoles won't see a Release on the Wii I seriously want a 360 right now.
When this game becomes avalible I'm going to buy a 360 some Microsoft Points and play to my hearts content.
maybe because its not exclusive, its on n64!

and I still have my Copy. :) sadly all of our controllers have broken joysticks from countless use of Playing Zelda and Star Fox, Golden Eye and (said game) Perfect Dark....and Banjo Kazooie.......and Donkey Kong 64.........Rouge Squadran.......
Oh trust me, I'm still playing Perfect Dark, the options it has in it's multiplayer gives it an insane amount of replay value, add online play in this remake in which it has and imagine the possibilities. Though I fear about the campaign.because, we've had too many remakes. they're so outdated it kills the nostalgia. like CoD:C...

Same here. And for the record, Aku101 said nothing on 360 counts...XBLA/PSN games dont count. Looks good thoughi never had a N64 so im gonna pick it up asap.

Don't worry about Campaign. It's pretty good.

I know it's good, I just hope it holds up even to this day.I sadly gave up on FPS games after playing Perfect Dark, played it from time to time but never really got into it so I don't recall much of it. The novelty I felt when playing Golden Eye was gone (it felt revolutionary to me because last FPS I played before it was Doom). The PSX Medal of Honor games temporary re-kindled my interest in the genre but it's officially been dead since the birth of the 128-bit era (PS2/Xbox/Gamecube).

I'd say it does hold up, played the original for fun a year ago and other than the blurry textures it has aged very well.
I'd personally disagree From 01-to now Interms of -Gunplay -Level Design -Pacing -Narrative -Overall gameplay -AI -Overall game design in general. First Person Shooters have come a long long long way since Perfect Dark 64.[QUOTE="LegatoSkyheart"]

I know it's good, I just hope it holds up even to this day.if you are still playing it, then obviously it still holds up,doesn't matter what other people think as long as you enjoy it , i am really exited, perfect dark is one of the greatest games of all time, and it's coming to the 360 with improved graphics and online multiplayer, the only thing that's frustrating me is the fact that this was supposed to be released this year, where is it? i want it now, today, immediatelyThat game looks like absolute garbage, am I missing something? Gangstah-FreshIt is a game from the N64 just brought up-to-date without really changing much better texture resolutions, total screen res, and draw distance. I think you are missing that.
That game looks like absolute garbage, am I missing something? Gangstah-Freshit's considered the best FPS ever, second to glodeneye on the n64, altough i thing PD is better, back in its day, perfect dark pushed FPS evolution in the same way Halo does now, imagine perfect dark zero, but done properly, with far better gameplay
closest thing to Goldeneye online? :P
But is it just me or have they enlarged her boobs, if so thats a bit of a facepalm, I only pray they don't get their own physics as well and am thankful there are no motions sensors on the 360 controller.
I'm looking forward to it and wondered why it hadn't been given a release date, but after seeing a few screens its because they are giving it a facelift in the visuals, I thought they were just going to release it high res, but they seem to be changing and improving some of the textures as well.
I just hope they can make the controls work, because PDZs was not good.
Halo I think uses autoaim so it works, COD works because you have to hold an aim button.
Goldeneye and Perfect dark worked because you could make incremental aim changes using the digital c-buttons on the N64 controller. So you could strafe and get the aim to head level at the same time.
But PDZ was all over the place, it relied too heavily on the analogue for aiming. Thats really my main worry for this game.

First Person Shooters have come a long long long way since Perfect Dark 64. The AI is the main one I have problems with, if only they could update/improved them in some way. What's wrong with the Level Design?I havent really talked about it because I know that despite it being an enitrly new remake, with better graphics, and online play cows will just call it a port and claim ownage by some god forsaken reason that i have no clue about.

I persoanlly think it looks amazing. I remember how horrid N64 gfx used to be, that looks better than most wii games out now.
Except it does have online.:D Yep. Last I checked, all modes have online play. Definitely buying it day one and playing Counter-Operative all night >_>[QUOTE="DealRogers"]
If that will have online then... OMG!

You're not the 1st person to say that.:PTechnically, it won't be exclusive, it would just have exclusive features, like 1080p support, updated graphics, online play, dual analog, new faces added to the Combat Simulator, etc.

yea, man Im so excited for this game lol
I wonder if theyll include online rankings into it too, like most modern shooters have. THAT would be really epic.

A console FPS IS NEVER the best.
Half Life, Half Life 2, Doom, Wolfenstein 3-D, Unreal Tournament and Quake are better FPS'

Doom? Wolfenstein? Come on now. I'm more of a PC gamer than anything, but even I'd never make that claim. Doom and Wolfenstein are so archaic and outdated, even by the standards of when Perfect Dark came out. PD is a much better FPS, it shouldn't even be an arguement.[QUOTE="playharderfool"]

Doom came out before the average Halo gamer was born.
