If a PC gamer is still on the parts they had in 2005 or 2006 then I just have to say that they're doing it wrong. Upgrading is a luxury, a privilege, and damn fun. Almost better than sex.

I still have my Wii from launch. It's had to be repaired a few times, and even now it's still kinda broken.

Well, some people are happy with Low and Medium settings.
I have a GTX 670 and i5-3470, I have no intention of upgrading for a while, maybe 4 years.

If the gamers kept their hardware for 4 years they would have upgraded in 2010, 2 years ago. 2 years is a long time in hardware years. Especially considering a lot of gamers don't buy top shelf hardware in the first place.
Original PS3 still intact and runs well, albeit I did have it fixed for a malfunctioning USB port within the first year of its warranty.
Replaced my 360 six times (seriously) under warranty and purchased a slim which I sold a few months ago.
Owned a Wii, sold it within a year of original purchase
WTF... What kinda climate do you live in? Do you live on the Gaza Strip?I have had 5 360's But I have had 2 for a couple of years til I got rid of one about a month ago.
I have had 4 PS3's. One would not read dics, one would not work at all, and I recently switched to a Super Slim.
I had 2 Wii's. One I "fixed: just so it would get some use. Had a Wii U as well, never again.

[QUOTE="timbers_WSU"]WTF... What kinda climate do you live in? Do you live on the Gaza Strip? My first 2 360's red ringed. Got one back from Microsoft and traded it toward one with a big hard drive. Bought a Slim model later. My other one I traded for another slim. PS3's have just been dumb purchases by me. The first one would not read disc so I took it back and got a used one. Well it was a piece of shit too. So got another new one. Sold it to get the super slim model.I have had 5 360's But I have had 2 for a couple of years til I got rid of one about a month ago.

Are you really sure it isn't the climate? I have a friend who lives in a castle and her consoles break a lot because it's kinda damp there. I have had a 3DS and DS and Wii and PS3 and my brother has a PS3 and two PC's and none of them break. Like ever. Not entirely true dat, now that I think about it my 3DS touch screen has weird vertical pixel rain but that doesn't bother me much cause I'm tough like that.I have had 5 360's But I have had 2 for a couple of years til I got rid of one about a month ago.

I just realized that all of the first Systems I have for this generation did not make it to the end of the generation. Well unless you count my DS Phat, but that thing is so old it's about to fall apart (still works, but I'm afraid to play on it.)
But My White Wii (got in 2007) can't read the discs anymore.
Our First PS3 Died on us while playing God of War 2 and it worked only for 3 more months after being sent in for Repairs while trying to download Castlevania Symphony of the Night. RIP 80GB PS3.
The first 360 I got couldn't play Discs properly when I first got it.(good job MS)
and I never got a PSP despite it having many games I want to play on it. (playing catch up on my Vita)
I'm still on my first 360 but that is a Slim model I bought in 2011. I used to have a 2006 Launch PS3 but that thing died on me in 2011. I also have an old first gen DS but I'm not sure if that thing still works.Â
The PS3 and the PSP are the only ones I haven't replaced. I never owned a model 1 PS3, and the PSP has mostly sat in a drawer because it's a PSP.
My first Wii still exists, but I gave it to someone. Also my first 360 from 2007 never technically died (as far as I know) but my 360 S did. To be fair, it was second-hand.
My X360 RROD'd, so I bought a Slim when that happened.
Also on a PS3 slim model, but only because I sold the original fat one to my friend. It's still working fine, I hear.
I have a Wii U and since they make you transfer all data from your Wii and it erases it afterwards, it's kind of a brick to me now.
Gone through a new PC build and a couple of video cards since 05-06.
To tack a couple on, I traded in my DS to help pay for a 3DS, and I traded in my PSP to help pay for a Vita.
Â
So... yeah, wow, not on any of them at all...
I would have been I feel if it wasn't for my old man dropping it on the pavement out side my house when I was at uni and helping me move also 2nd 360 because of RROD before the PS3 even came out and never replaced one and only just picked a new one up about 2 months ago. still prefer my PS3 though
I haven't seen a working launch 360 in years. If you have one that works... go buy some lottery tickets..... NOW!!!
Have a 80GB PS3 fat since 2007. Gone through 2 xbox 360s, last one broke in 2010. Never bothered to replace it and will most likely purchase one when their discontinued. Still planning on picking up a Wii to play all the games I've missed.
Been gaming since the 2600 and to this day have never had a system fail.
I know my 360 red ringed after I sold it, but that doesn't count.
