This generation just isn't that good period

I'm only disappointed with Nintendo Wii. They totally ignored the hardcore fans and pushed out their shovel crap ware. Sure, they're making a ton of money, but it's not like they're doing anything worthwhile with it.. Only to make more crap-ware video games for people who don't have a clue what the Nintendo brand WAS about. Nintendo has become a total sell-out.. People complain about Micro$oft greedy.. At least M$ released great games.. true to the 360 gamers.. Nintendo totally dissed what "made" Nintendo what it is.. and pushing out games like the Conduit. Like I give a crap if The Conduit comes out on the Wii. We want to see more Zelda, Mario games... And not having Hi-definition support is a huge slap in the face.. seeing as how everything is going digital..and HDTV's are incredibly cheap.. Cheaper than standard TV's back when they were "in." The PS2 had more than that in one year....

It was an approximate time but close enough, and yes, it did. From October 2000 (its release) to December 2001, it had more. This isn't even including the Xbox and GameCube (which had Halo and Rogue Leader), and this ends at 2001. I'm also not including the 8.7-8.9's.  If I included 2000-2003 it would be such a gap, it'd be unbelievable.

It puzzles me to know that their are so many gamers that disagree with this.... To me that says that either

A) Their are more younger gamers on SW than i thought

B) Their are more casual gamers on SW than i thought

C) Everyone likes FPS

or

D) All of the above....

 This gen is crap.  Yea its great to have one or two good games come out  but compared to any gen in the passed....it makes this gen laughable.  I mean SNES games lasted longer than most games on the PS3/360/Wii  and this gen  makes people pay for even more with online content and yet everyone is ok with that....  Whats happened to the gamers?  :cry:

In the last month there have been some of the best games ever made, Fallout3, Fable2, L4D. next year even looks better- SF4, DoW2, Starcraft, a proper Call of Duty sequal, Hl Ep.3....

I never thought id say this, but as long as Wii isnt your only system, your in for a hell of a time.

How so? Of the genre list you gave, Assassin's Creed, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Bioshock, The Orange Box, Call of Duty 4, Rainbow Six Vegas, GRAW 2, Gears of War and Dead Space are on PC. Additionally, GTA 4 and Burnout Paradise are headed to PC. Given history, Halo 3 is also likely to make the jump.

That means that out of the 14 genres you gave (a list which was horribly flawed anyway, you consider strategy a single genre, but first and third person shooters two seperate genres) the PC has representation in half those genres on multiplats alone.

Meanwhile, consoles have virtually no representation (or very weak offerings) in RTS, TBS, Adventure and MMORPGs. The previously strong console genre of racing has also seen an equalisation, and PCs receive many of the largest titles in the sports, action adventure and puzzle genres.

It's also pretty telling you used the library of three unrelated systems to attack the PC.
