I've seen little big planet which was alright but this just blew me away in stylé.

This is a rather self-defeating post.

Your thread title says that the Wii is about innovative games...then you mention Little Big Planet and then link us to a game that looks cool, but is nowhere near as innovative.

It's not really innovative at all. The core gameplay mechanic seems that like a feature you might find in a bigger game.

how is this game nowhere near as innovative? what's the innovation in LBP. map building? doesn't seem that innovative to me.

Meh, it's just another Kirby's Canvas Curse.

If by the end of this summer Wii Sports and Metroid Prime III remain the only titles on the wii that actually make intelligent and non-broken use of the Motion Sensing capabilites (and not just of the pointer), there's a high chance Ill sell the console. It's just not what I bargained for.

How about the physics engine that goes along with the map building?

It may not look innovative on the surface---and to tell you the truth, it's not as there's really nothing new under the sun---but combine the map building with the physics engine with the sharing element and you've got yourself quite a unique package.

In any case, LBP is a hell of alot more interesting looking that Lost Winds. Lost Winds looks like Kirby just as the poster above me said.

#1 I'm sorry thatevery innovative game can't be hailed as the next revolution in gamind.

#2 The reason why its innovative is because despite looking like something that would be in a bigger game, it hasn't been in a bigger game or really many games at all if any. Also the reason why it might seam like a small game is because its a downloadable game not a full game.

if you put it that way. Isn't there a possibility that everything in LBP has been done b4 in any shape or form?

Bread_or_Decide

Okay but Lost Winds doesn't have an attention grabbing visual presence. Nor does it seem cute or charming. And LBP gives off the feeling that it's doing something we haven't seen before and considering the response it has gotten I can attest that most believe this to be true. Generic games are ignored. The only people making a fuss about Lost Winds are sheep who have nothing else to get excited about.

And there goes your credibility! :D

How is this innovative? Seriously sheep explain to me how a game is innovative even when the TC concedes it is a LBP rip off?

This game a LBP rip-off? Can you in LBP interact with objects without the character touching it? Can you in LBP design the direction of the fire to solve puzzles? Can you in LBP actually control the direction of the wind? Plus LBP doesn't have even near the same intuitivity as Lost Winds.

It's a rip-off because it's 2D designed platforming I suppose???:?

Bread_or_Decide

That wind feature feels like a one note gimmick. A boring game designed around ONE feature (See army of two, dark sector for other examples) hoping that you are dazzled enough by it that you'll ignore that everything else is typical, cliched, and a rip off of better games.

Hmm... well I don't see it that way. Looks like cool intuitive fun to me. Plus it's a wiiware game...not much to complain about. To each his own. But I still don't see how it's a LBP rip off cuz Lost Winds doesn't even have the same features.

For some reason, people around here feel the need to tear down anything that doesn't interest them or isn't available to them.

And yet you decided to put down LBP in your thread for no reason. You couldn't promote Lost Winds without saying "oh and its more impressive than LBP."? I think the comparisons wouldn't have been so bad if you didn't add that uncessary bit of fanboyism.

Which consoles do you own? Just out of curiosity.

I didn't put down LBP. LBP looks like fun too, but I don't like the inaccurate comparisons to Lost Winds.

if thats the case then LBP is a rip off of super mario bros and Garry's mod.

It can work both ways people.

It's a 2d platformer and it stars a chibi character. Thats where the similarities stop.
