haven't played KZ2 since last week, let me go and check it out now. Should be back in a few minutes with a verdict. They still havent fix this problem yet? I try the demo a few days ago and yea the lag is kind of frustrating, but im still insist on playing this game because i'll probably get use to it eventually.
In real life there is the same delay from when you pull the trigger till the bullet actually comes out of the gun.
Wow! This is up there among the .....est things i ever heard. KZ2 is a good game. The input lag thing they put there was extremely stupid in my opinion. That same lag exists in Gears when you're using the heavy stationed gun and it makes more sense in that application. Glad they released the firmware to fix it, but now it's all just messy, some people are used to it and actually think it's realistic, while some don't like it.In real life there is the same delay from when you pull the trigger till the bullet actually comes out of the gun.

i really hope you are Joking.
Yeah, and you experience that in the same way that you would experience waiting to see light when you flick a switch. Are you actually serious? In real life there is the same delay from when you pull the trigger till the bullet actually comes out of the gun.

ITS NOT CONTROLLER LAG!!!! its mass. No one has twitch reflexes. your limbs and muscles weigh something, so when you move its not instant. It's like that ON PURPOSE. and didnt they release a patch to make the game more COD4-esque for all the people who believe every shooter should be a COD4 mod?II_Seraphim_IIWorst excuse for input lag I've ever heard.

Its pretty clear its there for a reason...
I never notiched this through all the hours I have played this game. People are blowing it way out of proportion.

You don't move according to your weight, reaction time is determined by your nervous system, most of your average movements happen in around .10 - .20 seconds for most people, which is hard to perceive. If movement didn't happen almost instantly it would be almost impossible to grab a small falling object.
Even if what you said was the case, the action happening in KZ2 not only requires you to react in such a way to move your thumbs, but also adds an additional time to that before it happens on screen , which isn't realistic.

As you can see, this is not a coding glitch, its purposely made like that. This is a video game, and people tend to exaggerate for effect. In the same manner games like COD4 have super human aiming speed and reflexes, KZ2 has slower than normal human reaction speed to simulate mass. Sometimes you need to overdo something before it becomes noticeable. They released a patch though for people who want twitch shooters, so the whole point of this thread...is well, non-existant.controller lag - fail. even after updates it still is there.

There is nothing to fix. Its the whiners that wanted COD controls.
yes the input lag is still there, and yes it is meant to be there
at first i didnt like and was turned off by it, but i gave it some time and got used to it, and really enjoy the game now with it like this you can comfortably aim out in the open at people without worrying to much with getting picked off immediately
plus you gotta realize its not just you dealing with this, it is everyone else online dealing with the aiming, and even tho the game has been out for a while, a lot of people still suck and cant adapt to it... which then makes it easier for me to frag
ive seen people people waste whole clips right in fornt of me when im just moviing side to side not being able to take me out, then ill take the out with 5-7 shots...its all about learning to properly stafe-aim people, it seems like a dumb design choice at first(trust me, i know how crappy input lag can be sometimes, especially with pc gaming, and i use high refresh rate crt monitor to eliminate any trace of input lag) but once u play a lot and adapt to it, it feels good, and frags are very satisfactory
killzone 2 was built around with the "heavy" laggy feeling in aiming in mind, thats why its really not all too bad, it just makes it a different stlye of play
Agreed.I never notiched this through all the hours I have played this game. People are blowing it way out of proportion.

The online multiplayer has very little input delay, it's only a problem in the single player until you get used to it.
i never had problems with Kz2 i think the people who complain about the controller just striaght up suck at the game
Fail. Controller lag doesn't exist and never existed. It was done intentionally by the devs to give you the perception of weight. Now realism doesn't count?controller lag - fail. even after updates it still is there.

Yes it was done to give the perception of weight and is in no way the controller's fault, but it is perceived by the user as lag. And i laugh at all those who think it's realistic. I guarantee you that in killzone 3, the lag will not be the standard. They might add it there in the optional settings for people who like it and think it's "realistic."controller lag - fail. even after updates it still is there.

Funny my controller doesn't lag when playing other games. Of course it won't be. Since they already patched it because people complained about it. They'd rather have arcade style shooting. Again there was no lag. The player just didn't see it the same way. It didn't bother me though.controller lag - fail. even after updates it still is there.

controller lag did exist and it was annoying....you could feel lag even in the menus...now dont tell me they were just trying to add weight to the menus as well.
