Niche huh? $250 GPU's sold 13 million in ONE QUARTER. ONE QUARTER. Those are being used for GAMES. If you use a $250 GPU for multimedia.... well.... I don't even need to say it...

How about for simulation or graphics program that are needed by tech companies? Most of them aren't game related and need high graphics card.

That list is only for big name games with tons of advertising and casual appeal. Our niche PC games don't really fit that description, even if it is an incredible game. Besides, TIME magazine ain't exactly the best place to go for gaming news. Some of their articles I've read in the past that they've written on videogames were somewhat laughable.

Cant say I agree with their list. I agree with most of the games that are on that list, but I dont agree with the order. But then again, it's TIME magazine. Not your best source for gaming news and reviews.Can-o-Mark

Orange Box is a compilation of three different games and two expansion packs. The main game i Half-Life 2, the expansion packs are Half-Life 2: Episode 1 and Half-Life 2: Episode 2. The two other games included are Portal, a physics based puzzle game based on the manipulation of 3D environments, and Team Fortress 2, a multiplayer strategic fragfest.

A bit too 360 dominated, (maybe some corporate ties???), where's the PC games? And some of those games don't belong on that list at all.

But it's mainstream media, oh well.

EDIT: They described Halo 3 as "The perfect hardcore first person combat simulator". :lol: -12 points on the respect-o-meter. That description is laughable.

How could crysis not be up there, and why is halo 3 #1???? Bioshock should not be in front of CoD4 and Mass Effect because its not that great. and AC6???? lol!!! The witcher should be up there, same with WiC, thats the worst list ever.michael098
