Titanfall 2 announced; coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC

Titanfall founder and CEO Vince Zampella has confirmed Titanfall 2 is in development and will be released on multiple platforms.

Speaking to IGN ahead of tonight's BAFTA Game Awards, Zampella, whose title is nominated in three categories, acknowledged the game's existence for the first time.

The first one had a lot of shortcomings for its time which is understandable with a grand game like this.

Only way I'm gonna be bothered about this is if it has single player. If it's multi-only again, off the radar it goes.

Good....I will play it, I enjoyed the 1st one for what it was. It was one of the most fun MP shooters I have played in a while.

Cows better not buy DLC or else it would be getting your face slapped after a year when they give the DLC free as an anniversary gift.

Can't wait. Hopefully they completely scrap a single player component and just go all out with multiplayer. I can't think of a single CoD style campaign I've enjoyed, so losing it wouldn't bother me at all.

No, I was thinking something along the lines of saying he will buy the port of Titanfall when it comes to PS4 and somehow saying it's going to be superior for some reason. Then laughing at lemmings for no reason. lol

First one got old really quickly. Don't expect much from this one.

One thing I really hope for a game like TitanFall is cross-play between these systems! I can almost guarantee PlayStation gamers would be easy targets for Xbox and PC gamers with these type of games.

Nothing in the IGN article states ps4, only multiplatform, which could mean xbox and pc again.

I just can't imagine anything that would make me excited about playing Titanfall 2. Maybe a full fledged single player campaign with 10 hours of content.

Absolutely this. Those servers worked so well for me, that I'll probably end up getting the XB1 version over the PS4 version for that alone.

The multiplayer on the first Titanfall was very low on content. I'd be shocked if the multiplayer aspect of Titanfall 2 ends up being somehow worse.

Yeah, I found it to be pretty low at launch, but at least they added a somewhat decent amount of content for free post launch. And I may be in the minority on this, but I'll take the level of balance Titanfall had over a bunch more content. If post CoD4 Call of Duty's taught me anything. It's that sometimes less is more with these types of games.

Titanfall is Titanfail because it is a mediocre game AT BEST and it vastly underperformed in terms of sales. How they got a sequel I have no idea, but as others have said there is no way I am buying it until is is under $20 with how over-hyped and undervalued the original was. EA will use a firehose of marketting money to buy positive spin/reviews just like they did last time - here begins the monthly Titanfail 2 hype "articles" for the next year and half.

Don't care. Cows called it TitanFail but now that it's on PS4, they will be calling it TitanLord, TitanGod, TitanSavior, TitanLove, TitanSony, TitanKaz and will be pushing it as if it's the second coming. Cows are the hypocrites of SW lol

This. Even though TitanFall launched on PC and Xbox One then came on Xbox 360, they labeled it as if it was exclusive to Xbox or something. So not sure why lems will be bothered by this but one thing for sure is the cow hypocrisy will be highlighted.

I'm guessing at E3 a belated-PS4 port of the original will also be announced.

I really doubt that. The game has no single player content. Releasing a multiplayer-only game that is more than a year old and pretty much a ghost town on the systems it's currently on would just be a bad idea.

It was already expected EA mess up with the first one because they believe tha ms would win this gen..hahaha

And that is precisely what they did.

Great, lved the first one for about a week. it just lacked overall content for me to play it any longer (though in the games defence, I got to Generation 5 in that week (was part time at the time)). This game should replace CoD entirely... or I lose faith in humanity..... the skill in the game was great, the pace was a good nod to arena shooters of old mixed with modernwarfare .... everything about its gameplay felt satisfying... something I havn't been able to say about a shooter in YEARS.

I hope they get it right this time. I would love to see the return of attack/defend story/campaign style MP (which would of made sense of rthe project's initial story driven MP idea) like Wolfenstien: Enemy territory or Jedi Academy..

but I might be getting my hopes up there.... since most chavs that buy these shooters in droves only like TDM ... or FFA. and seemed to hate the NPC concept because they are too stupid to tell the difference.

It was a fun game... But full price is no Bueno.
