I have a question for everyone that is saying that bots are ruining the game:
Have you ever played the single-player campaigns in Battlefield or Call of Duty?.. Do those "bots" put up an extremely hard challenge?.. or are they just target practice while you move from point A to point B during the story?..
On nearly any FPS, in the single player campaign on the "normal" setting, bots are there, they aren't very smart (not nearly as smart as human players), and they don't ruin the experience.. Hell, they ARE the experience.. I understand that there is a story being told as well but lets not pretend like shooting at helpless AI controlled soldiers was invented with Titanfall.. It's a staple of every modern day FPS.. You play a relatively short and cliché story mode while shooting at brain dead AI hiding behind exploding barrels.. This isn't new, people..
Now, the difference between a typical FPS and Titanfall is that they're AI bots are normally isolated to the single-player mode and the human players are only in multiplayer.. Fair enough.. But in case none of you decided to read up on the intentions of this game, the developers wanted to perfectly blend a single player feel and narrative along with an online multiplayer environment.. And guess what, they've done just that..
there's a story (short and cliché), you have your AI controlled teammates running along with you into battle (just like in any single player mode), you're shooting at AI controlled enemies (just like any single player mode), you have five online friends helping you out (just like any online co-op mode), and you have a mix of online human enemies to contend with (just like Dark Souls and potentially The Division and Destiny).. Why is this so hard to understand?.. This is NOT Call of Duty.. It was never meant to be Call of Duty.. And it's funny how all the haters seem to want it to be more like Call of Duty while at the same time, try and condemn it for being "too much like Call of Duty"..
lol i mean, wow..
Does having "bots" in the form of AI controlled mobs somehow ruin the PvP aspects of Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2?.. Nope, absolutely not.. I personally loved how Dark Souls blends the single player and multiplayer seamlessly.. Also, for all of those people who are excited about The Division, you do realize that you're mostly going to be fighting "bots" right?.. And that you'll only fight a a few human players mixed in in terms of PvP combat (potentially 4v4 or 6v6)?.. Does that sound familiar?.. Sounds kind of like what Titanfall is doing right now but Titanfall is doing it on a much smaller and faster-paced scale..
honestly, if you don't like bots in your online multiplayer, that's fine.. Titanfall is probably not for you.. Hell, even the developers said exactly that when people first started to complain about the 6v6 player count.. They literally said something to the effect of "this game is probably not for you" in an interview.. They wanted to make a melding of single-player narrative, feel, and accessibility coupled with the challenge, community, and satisfaction of online multiplayer.. They DID NOT want to make a Call of Duty clone..
So please stop complaining about how Titanfall should be more like Call of Duty and just go play more Call of Duty.. Believe me, you won't be missed.. More than likely tho, you're not even playing Titanfall anyway since its too much like "Call of Duty with mechs" right?..
The short games, I can have a match before work if I want to, I can get some friends around and we can each play a round without feeling left out. Apart from that there are so many epic moments, just crushing a pilot with a titan and hearing that bone crunch is so satisfying.
So what if the servers are down a few hours? There is no such thing as a perfect server, and this thread was about TF, not about the X1....you just cannot resist with these silly posts can you? Been playing the game almost daily since the release, and other than a 2 hour downtime on launch day , the server performance has been unbelievable...my ping has always been below 35....apparently today some people had problems coneecting, I have not tried yet to connect, but I suspect the downtime will be low as is always the case with XBL.
^^errmm wat u talking about? i hav tf on pc and i cant play because of this bullshit cloud server which lems hyped up to be so much better than psn. bu-bu-cloud!! will handle ai, cloud will enable 1080p, cloud is most advanced creation ever!!!
Did you check to see if your network cable is unplugged?
