Ok your point being?Led_poisonHis point is that the PS3 is a year late, costs $200 more, and has worse graphics than the 360. You can argue that Ubisoft is lazy or unskilled, but the truth is that the Xbox 1 vesrions of anything were superior to the PS2. For example, Halo 1 is better looking than any PS2 game ever made (technically speaking). So, porting SCDA to the PS3 should be a breeze and it should look better.
You really expect Ubisoft to do the nessesary work on development on PS3????Blinblingthing
After seeing what they can do with the Wii.... Well  can't say I look forward to many Ubisoft games. Â

If it does look better than the PS3 version, all of a sudden you'll notice that the "it had extra dev time" arguement will now be a valid argument for cows. And yet whenever a 360 port on the PS3 looks bad...it is obviously because of the PS3's inferior hardware right? Can't have it both ways. How about we all agree that if a developer fails to make a game that isn't graphically strenuous in the first place, into a port with inferior graphics is obviously lazy? It is not the fault of the console itself.[QUOTE="stuart69"]This game was ported over from 360...such a shockin suprise that it looks a little better on the 360 :roll:rappid_rabbitWell the test will be when VF5 comes out on 360...I think thats the first game to be ported from PS3 to 360.... How is it damage control when its a port? And besides ubisoft and most of these third party devs, are just not doing a good enough job like the makers of oblivion to port the game over, taking advantage of the ps3 hardware, or even the ports would look and run better on the ps3.
Fanboys could say all they want, but the fact is, the xbox 360 has had more time for third party devs to work with there games and when ported over, they just aint doing a good job on it. Like kojima says, alot of third party devs just dont put there hearts into making great games, not all but alot and the sad thing is, when porting a game, is when there is better hardware to work with and the results of the ports are downgraded alot, just tells me the devs just dont care much for consumers who buy there games on other platforms.
Mixed feelings. It's worth a lol seeing how cows have been bouncing around the room when multiplat games are improved over time for the PS3 and SCDA reaches them and it turns out to be somewhat worse, but still, Ubisoft AER TEH SuX. I can NEvER forgive them for murdering Far Cry on the Wii, not to mention that every Wii game they;ve made is buggy as hell and looks hideous.MegaPigeonAll their shooters have for sure. They like the Xbox for that genre lol. Rayman Raving Rabbids a Ubisoft game is awesome though. So not all their games have sucked on the WIi.

Graphically, the game looks good, but falls short of the detailed display Sam saw on Xbox 360 last year. Players who ran through the paces in Microsoft-land will notice a slower framerate and the loss of a few small details (things like a smaller quantity of fights during the prison riot, different textures on character close-ups and no goggle-toggle when tossing on Sam's specs).
There are other areas where Sam and company suffer from a bout of PS3 hiccups too. In some instances, for example, snow falls everywhere but the top left-hand corner of the screen; Sam's hands occasionally clip into walls while he hacks at a wire; and the camera will sometime flip out as our hero climbs across a pipe. These miniscule glitches are forgivable, however, and it's actually quite fun to pull enemies into icy ponds, crack safes and hide in the shadows. Plus, the PS3 gets two additional multiplayer maps and a female spy that the 360 never saw.

when i read reviews like this, i just can't understand where all the power of the is and what is it being used for.Â
it's certainly not being utilized very well for gaming.
i just don't see paying hundreds of dollars more for a ps3 when it underperforms the competition on a consistent basis, but that's just me i guess....
well, me.....and the other of countless millions who aren't buying it....
the 360 just seems to be the better gaming machine, apparently...

So what do you have to say to the fact that the Xbox 360 can barely run Quake 4? Is it not as powerful as you thought? The game engine for Quake 4 is 3 years old, and the Xbox 360 can barely run it!!

It's so amusing to watch fanboys back themselves into a corner. Your argument fails, and now you're trying to desperately find a way to discount his argument. It's kind of sad really.
Sorry dude, but those games do count. Regardless of scores, they still look better on the Xbox 360. Give it up.
The problem is in the difficulty of developing games on the cell... there just isn't enough people with experience of developing for something that's just so new. On the other hand... with Xbox360 being very similar to a PC (when it comes to development) you can find alot more experienced developers for X360 games...
Perfect example was Armored core 4(?) and from what I've read the first PS3 -> X360 port was actually better on X360

Quake 4 was a quick and dirty port. The Devs didn't spend nearly enough time optimizing it to make it run smoothly.
But hell, the Xbox 360 can run UE3, a much more comprehensive and powerful engine, smooth as silk, as evidenced by Gears of War, thus destroying your argument.
ubisoft fault..ps3 is capable of matching the 360 version or even doing better..but they decided to be lazy and jus do a crappy port...it looks like im not goin to gettin this game.well i wasnt from the start...all ps3 owners shouldnt get this game...but oblivion you should definely buy because it looks better then the 360 version..elementz28
So if the game is better than the 360 version get it; if its not you dont buy it. You shouldnt be picky you barely have any games worth talking about.

Similarly, it's funny how people don't give credit to Bethesda for moving heaven and earth to make Oblivion run, much less run better than it did on the 360, given the PS3's hardware limitations. That's right... the PS3 is inferior to the 360 in several respects. When Todd Howard pointed this out in his EGM interview, many on the PS3 boards said he was a crummy developer. When they found a workaround for the terrible Blue-Ray access speeds, and delivered a great game despite the difficulties, who got the credit? Sony.Ubisoft has never been good at developing for sony consoles. Compared to the other 3rd party devs like EA and Capcom.
