While I don't think its tommy in the trailer I would love to play as him and meet CJ from SA(which he probably will be in the game) that would be awesome. But would R* go back to protagonists?

Maybe they need something like that so everyone will buy the game. Maybe they are afraid of losing money and its hinted with the recession in the game and the money symbol in the logo :P but that's just thinking like a conspiracy nut. R* always sell well

No it just wouldn't work. Its not just about the voice. Its the attitude too. He brought a swagger to Tommy. A way of speaking like he was a real person. And no 2 people are the exact same. it would be doing thw fans a dis-service
