Tony Hawk Ride Review 3.5

Activision seemed to forgot why Rock Band/Guitar Hero was so successful. It was much cheeaper to pay $170 dollars to pay for a game than it was actually buying a bass, guitar, drums, and a microphone. Not only is Tony Hawk Ride more expensive than a real skateboard, but it's also more difficult to use.

Since the whole rhythm based gaming genre is in an obvious decline, maybe Neversoft can take some time to make an actually good Tony Hawk game.

Yeah its pretty sad. Its a shame too, the series only stalled because everyone was getting tired of it, if Activison didn't milk it and allowed for true, well madesequels to come out every 2-3 years instead of every year, we might have seen a continuation of greatness. I personally was addicted to Tony Hawks games, they got me into skateboarding. Once American Wasteland came out (which was my last TH game), I started to dislike it and decided to stay with the games I had. to cherish my memories of them.

Ah well, at least theres always Skate, Skate 2, and the upcoming Skate 3.
