Top 5 games that should have easily got AAA but didnt..

These are games i think that had it all and clearly and easily deserved AAA and yet did not get AAA.. in order they are;

Mass Effect-this game scored a 8.5 and was a truely great game, this game should have easily easily got AAAE and i still dont know as to why it did not.

Gran Turismo 4-fantasic racing mechanics, great gameplay, tons of cars and great tracks, much better than GT3, why this game didnt score AAA is beyond me.

Left 4 Dead; Very fun CO OP and versus multiplayer modes and very innovative shooter, definatley deserved atleast a 9.0

MGS3; My personal favorite in the MGS franchise. This game had great visuals, amazing.. AMAZING story, great gameplay and awesome bosses, there is no reason why this game didnt score AAAE.

Metal Gear Solid; the Sin of the century imo. This game needs no introduction.. This is perhaps one of the greatest games ever made, almost up there with such classics as Ocarina of time. and yet this game gets a 8.5 here, really? MGS is the #1 pick of a game that clearly, clearly should have scored AAAE and did not. Infact at the time i would go so far as to say this game should have got AAAAE, but this game not getting a AAAE is truely a crime.

Super MSash Bros. Melee sticks out in my mind. I mean they gave it an 8.9(I think). Just give it the extra .1

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Mass Effect. It is my favorite game of the generation. A shame.

MGS3, FFIX.

i would say MGS easily.. I mean at the time this game was simply amazing and groundbreaking and yet it got a 8.5, truely a shame.. MGS3 also, the only game that made me cry at the end.

I was thinking Melee since it was 8.9. I am also expecting a barrage of FF9 votes as well. I would have given Crash 3 a 9 as well.

Did you actually play MGS when it came out for the PS1 or are you just saying that because you like the other MGS games and think the first game should be AAA because its some sort of a "classic".

But I'd say Twililight Princess. I think the graphics were great, and it deserved a score of 9.5.

FFIX, MGS, MGS3 and Diablo II all easily deserved a 9 imo.

Super Metroid should have gotten AAA status, if not AAAA. I'm dead serious. I really can't think of any reasonable flaws, nor could Gamespot (I just read through the review, and they didn't even say anything bad about the game).

Mass Effect did get AAA on PC it didn't get it on 360 because it was a bad port.

In the same year they gave MGS3 a 8.8 they gave Halo 2 a 9.4...that had to be the biggest joke ever

A lot of games that are looked back on as classics are not AAA. Fallout 1&2, Deus Ex(okay, this one should be AAAA, but still), Daggerfall+Morrowind, System Shock 2, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, etc.

It's kind of hilarious that GameSpot even featured some of these in its best games of all time thing, and yet stuff like Perfect Dark Zero, WarioWare: Smooth Moves, and Fifa Soccer 10 get scored higher.

It deserved at least a 10. I recently played it, and it's still the best the 360 got. Perfect physics, awesome gameplay, great characters and bad-ass weapons!

I've probably played way more Gears than you ever will, and there's no way it should get a 10. The campaign was too much of a bore to warrant it getting a perfect 10.

There are so many IMO, but the most recent one I played is Silent Hill. It deserves much more then a 8.2.

None. Although there are games I like better than the scores GS gave them, I really liked the days when you had to be REALLY amazing to score AAA. The harsh, very critical, yet fair GS was the best. Nowadays the hand 9s like it's candy on Holloween, just like IGN.enterawesome
