I wouldn't be surprised If physical media Is eradicated because developers won't have to worry about people trading In games. That earns them more profit, so In a way It's kinda bad for people who wait to buy a pre owned copy of a game

What I would like to see is for a rental service to allow us to download 1,2, or 3 games at a time with different monthly prices with each one. In order to download new ones you have to delete one of the ones you have already downloaded. This is the same thing Gamefly is doing, but without the mailing back and forth of game discs.

Whatever happened to the TC's obsession over blu-ray? Remember him making a thread of having a blu-ray date. Instead of going out with a girl, stay at home with and watch a movie on a blu-ray:lol:

Digital distribution? Fine.

OnLive? Absolutely no way. That service needs to die a quick death, despite the posters that get paid to come here and pretend they like it.

I think DD is fine, I use it a lot for my PC games, but until consoles bother to adopt something like PC is doing with DD, and has the capability to support it, I won't bother with DD on consoles for a while.

no resale value, and you dont own anything. not liking that idea. also, once all the isps start implementing caps to the internets dd will die as it would be too expensive for gamers to download all the games.

Retail stores will force companies to always have physical media. Plus you make more money cause in the store because people can be talked into buying other stuff, they can get personal help, and they can shop for multiple things at once. Physical media isn't going anywhere.

I pretty much agree with this. I think it will always be an option to buy.

Hahaha... no... For one you can only realy rely on the US, Canda, Australia and half of Europe for sustained digital distribution purchases, and even then it's not alot of people buying via DD, atleast not a sizable majority, and it won't be for a long time. And it won't die for a long time because people just don't wanna give their CC numbers... And OnLive will never become standard, just because of no mods, and people actualy wanting to own what they buy...
