Top Ten Games and Game of the Year - Show Your Lists! (GOTY Wars!)

So I am newer here to System Wars, so I expect to be beaten severely by you veterans of intellectual arguments - lol :D In all seriousness, we all know that the VGA's are here and I wanted to first share my Top Ten Games of this Year. Don't be too harsh on me now as they are my opinions, though I did put some thought into them! So now that you know my list, I was wondering if any of you have a game in your head for GOTY that is console-specific. For example, is Uncharted 3 or Gears of War 3 your GOTY? Or perhaps something that is on all consoles?

There's still a few games I haven't played as I still need to play Deus Ex, Catherine, Gears 3, Forza 4, Arkham City, and a couple others, so I don't want to make a list until I do, but I haven't played anything yet that stands out as something I'd want to pick as GOTY. Out of the stuff I've played I'd probably pick Portal 2 although in other years I'm not sure it would even be in my top five. 2011 was very overhyped, imo.

Those are the only 2011 games I played this year :P. SpaceChem is probably the best puzzle game I've ever played however.

i'm not going to make a list but my goty is saints row.

sure it's no technical marvel or anything but it was easily the game i had the most fun all year with.

I have to say that I absolutely cannot wait for The Witcher 2 to come to the Xbox 360. I don't have the hardware to run it on PC and I've been drooling over this game for a long, long time. Over the recent years there's been some great RPG's, but more and more of them are focusing on actual gameplay (while maintaining the good RPGing we all love and know) and it seeems the Witcher 2's gameplay looks incredible. 'Reckoning is another one I am looking forward to as well.

Good choice for no. 1 ;)

How dare you cut out Battlefield 3 and Batman: AC?! LOL :D Just messing with ya! To each their own, I say. In all seriousness, though, I think Crysis 2 was an excellent choice. I really (really) wanted to put that in my Top 10 List, but unfortunately there wasn't enough room. I wish the multiplayer was a bit more active and it totally surprises me that not many people play it. It is a real, real shame :( Though I am VERY excited to hear that Crytek is working on the next Homefront!

I'd also like to play Infamous 2. I only got a taste of the demo and loved it, but unfortunately it requires something called money and you can only buy so much of these games! I know my twin bro Ryan can run The Witcher 2, and I hear there is a 30 minute demo on the internet. I am going to give it a try!

If anyone has any tips/advice for me before going into a 30 minute demo of The Witcher 2, let me know - besides, 30 minutes is never enough time, let alone for an open-world RPG!

I'm just now getting around to picking up this years games since they're all starting to get price drops. But the best one I've played this year is Gears of War 3, easily.

Not sure I've played ten games quite yet this year but even if I have alot of the games I've played this year are just ports of old games. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Beyond Good and Evil HD, Sonic CD... You get the picture.

Sonic Generations is very deserving of Game of the Year. Sonic Team has finally found a fomula for Sonic games that people like! This game engine that they've used in Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations is great! Sonic has made a comeback.
