@StormyJoe: So only way we can for sure now, without a doubt, is either an official source or sales numbers. So we'll see if we see an official statement (HIGHYLY doubt MS would say that even if it was true) or sales. We'll see either way, no one here knows if they have or haven't so it's useless talking about it.
No one knows for sure what the US sales numbers will be until NPD numbers are released. But, my "prediction" is a retort to the broken record rant some cows are making by saying "Xbox Ones are not selling, and sitting on store shelves".
That actually IS! I still get great use out of my PS3 however. Even though my investment in the ps3, Monetarily, has been very light. If they dropped this deal in the fall, I'd do it in a heartbeat though. The new consoles will be picking up and ill be itching to jump in.

Yea same here, I just got PS+ last month so Im not getting rid of mine anytime soon. If only to play games I missed or never would have bought to begin with like Remember Me next month.
I think though, it's funny how cows seem to think the XB1 is "selling badly". In 5 weeks, they shipped 3.9 million consoles. That's huge. Is it as much as the PS4? No, but its still a huge success.

The offer runs from now until March 2, requires the consoles to be in good working order, and also applies to the Xbox 360 S and E models. Though, presumably, Microsoft sees a 360 trade-in as a graceful retirement rather than ditching.
It seems everyone missed that piece of information. Not sure what M$ would do with all these game consoles though. I'm sure there will be some uneducated casual gamer who will take the plunge and do this.

The PS4 is just better,the true war begins when sony can deliver enough consoles,there is when you will see the real difference.
I think the xbox one will be close in US and far behind every where else.
i won't be getting either, Gaming on the Nexus 7 at the moment, theres some good quality games on Tablets now and i am saving up for a Wii-U.
I expect the Ps4 will probably come in at first place this gen but it won't be by a huge Margin like it was with the Ps1 and Ps2, those days are long gone now.
MS is desperate when they do it, but we had threads about Sony giving away PS3s with Bravias and it was a brilliant move.
MS has always been great at marketing no matter how crappy the product is.
This is why they are worth so much.
They are worth so much because of their productivity software. They never had an electronics device that lead the market. Zune was failure, Surface was failure..360 was the first semi-successful product and now they have taken a major step back with its successor.

Microsoft probably has a stealth deal with Gamestop. I seriously doubt they will re-sell another competitor's used consoles.
Also PS+ makes keeping your PS3 a wise decision even you have a PS4. My backlog is getting bigger every month with between the PS+ games of the month and crazy sales.

thats what I mean... I've only made a very small investment in owning PS3 games... Im a borrow, renting, ps+ playstation gamer.... I wouldn't even be out that much.
I would consider it, but Sony keeps throwing tons of awesome free games at me. Metro: Last Light for free, awesome deal, not a two year old game like the weak and scarce freebies on XBL.

It's quite obvious MS's plan is to add Ps'3 backwards compatibility to all future Xbox one's manufactured from here on out....lol:p and they need all the PS'3's for the parts. It all makes sense now as to why they designed the xbox one so big lol:p
Speaking of Xbone, I won one on my local radio station. I'm thinking of having some sort of competition for it if someone is interested. I already have one. I'll have to figure out how and where, though. I did a competition for a GPU a couple years ago, but Wasdie suspended me for it.
