TRUE NEXT GEN (NO NOT NEXT NEXT GEN) what this gen should really be

is impressive?The harsh reality is,every single game that is considered "impressive",has good graphics for its respective time. If Pikachu was in HD,the element of realism+believability that he is indeed a furry monster would go up dramatically.It is like looking at Ratchet and Clank,when you saw Ratchet on Ps2: 
the fact that made you believe he is an animal is the presence of a tail and giant ears.But now look at Ratchet on Ps3: 
it is now much more than the shape of his ears and tail,it is the detail in his ears and tail,that convince us that he is truly a furry creature(Most would say he looks like a Bobcat).Thus if you think that more power in a console to produce better graphics has no direct effect in the level of immersion and believability,you are mistaken. Ask yourself:What is it about the gameplay of Wii games that makes it impossible on another console?Is it the A.I+physics?The cold hard truth is:The only thing that makes Wii games unplayable on other consoles is the effects of the Wiimote on the game,things such as pulling up the controller to remove an enemies shield,etc.If you don't believe this fact,you have to ask yourself another question:If the GameCube/Xbox 1 had a controller with Wii like functions,could Wii games really not run on the hardware? Nintendo called the Wii "New gen" rather than "next-gen",because this label distinguishes it from the powerhouses that are Ps3 and Xbox 360.They know that the Wii is technically not a "next-gen" console because when you inevitably decide to put facts together,the reality of the situation is Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 offer much more because of the new hardware,whilst the Wii doesn't. although does game you posted suck... very nice, well writen post.agree.

So your telling me the only diffrence between a ps2 game and a ps3 version of the game is... its fur? It didn't add any immersion, you'd have to be blind to think that he doesnt look like a cat. If they wanted to make it look like a bob cat, then why not just do this
That would add on to the realism and immersion. Obviously ratchet is the kind of character that... isn't realistic so adding realism to him would only worsen the design. Luckily for the PS3 version, they gave him more color and made him more... shiny which took away the realism which is pretty much the only reason it looks better than the ps2 version. The point i was trying to make is that warioware is a cartoon type of game and adding power to it would not have done anything to it. Otherwise they would have actually attempted to tap into the wii's power which can obviously pull off much better visuals.
And why does A.I. + Physics have to be the only way to improve a game? Having good control is one of the most important parts of gameplay. Infact, "how the game plays" can be pretty much subsituted for "how the game controls" Yes, the only thing that makes the wii diffrent from the gc/xbox is its controller(Despite the fact that its more powerful than both.) But you cant go and say "what if the gc/xbox had its controller." IT DIDN'T and thats that. If it did then they would actually go for the graphics this gen and everything would be totally diffrent. What if the gc/xbox had the power of the 360/PS3? There would also be no huge leap in gameplay either.
The wii is "next gen" simply because... it came out in this gen. I dont even think i can explain to you why its next gen if you dont really know what the word generation really means. If you did, you'd pretty much already know why it is.
