Both games look like expansion packs frankly,but Gears 2 definitely win for graphics.

I think it looks worse than the original, correct me if I'm wrong. Their improved sense of scale must have taken a toll on the visuals.

I agree it looks bland because theres way too much brown, but it looks fun to fight.

While I have high hopes for Resistance 2, I'm afraid it'll be shadowed by Gears of War 2 (much like the first one was) IMO.

Gears of War 2 looks amazing no doubt. Resistance 2 also looks amazing. Hell so does Killzone 2.

I guess we wont know which one looks the best until we line all 3 of them up and play them.

As a texture whore I must say these pics greatly displease me.

Resistance 2 and Gears 2 look only slightly improved from their predecessors.

Killzone 2 looks noticeably better than both. Graphics alone don't make a game though.

Considering the larger scaled levels and huge bosses, I think Insomniac are doing a great job.... I still have to wait till the game is released before I jude...

Also graphically both GeOW2 & Resistance2 are shaping up nicely, saw some pics of GeOW2 and it looks great, but dont forget that its draw distance is relatively small compared to vids shown for Resistance2, so keep that in mind when considering which is better graphically....

I still find KZ2 the best looking game on consoles, but its out in 2009, so its only fair to compare Restistance 2 & GeOW2 since both are coming out close to eachother...

No probably SONY saw that Resistance2 was already enough for the holiday season and to go head to head against the mighty GeOW2... Why should they release KZ2 & Resistance2 close to eachother... this way Guerilla had more time also to polish the game...

I think from a marketing point of view it was a smart move, being a gamer not so much, cause I would have loved to get both games a month from each other...

How so? Anyone can nit pick at any picture. The textures on the ground in that pic aren't the best. Does that distract from the overall greatness? Hell no.

Geow 2 shouldnt be compared with killzone 2, Geow 2 looks mutch mutch better. COD 4 looks better then killzone 2.ps3weee

I know. I understood Cows when they claimed that Uncharted and GT5 were the graphics king. But KZ2? The game looks terrible.

Two things first the massive amount of gray is very ugly, two the flash effect emitting from the barrel is excellent until, you look at the barrel. Other than that it is amazing, but it still has nothing on Crysis lol. Though about the Gray thing you could say that its part of the atmosphere, but the same could be said for gears.

I honestly didn't even care about it till I saw the multiplayer video, It really brought back memories of how much fun I had online with Gears 1. Nothing brings together 4 friends like, quite literally, mowing down little XBL tards. Chainsaw bayonet is the coolest idea since Viagra, they got geniuses at Epic I tell you!
