lol well actually if you watched the ending very closely when the main dude and his girl are at some funfair and they are looking into the ocean you see a small splash on the very far right corner of teh screen next to a boat. apparantly that is a satellite crashing from earth which probably hits the monster on the head and wakes him up lol either its a satellite or its teh actual monster himself coming to earth.

Both games look great. They are so close, the difference is minimal. Onen discuss "textures", others "lighting", at the very end both things are almost irrelevant when both look so close/great.

the top one is nice but the other 3 aren't impressive

you won't know truly until you see some fair dinkum gameplay

On topic though people are still arguing about the 2 games, and whilst I think KZ2 will look better, does it really matter?

I mean most of you probably own either a 360 or PS3 so you will only be able to play one of the games and so will never be able to compare the games, and then those of us with both will be so busy playing the games we wont care which looks better.

This is a waste of time. Lemmings have already convinced themselves that Gears is legendary and the only game that could possibly EVER be better looking is Gears 2.

No amount of reality is going to change the indoctrinated narrative that lemmings have built up for themselves.

I wondered once if flash games could work on the ps3 but many of them were really slow. but they still work.

You are clearly ignoring the new screen and game play videos from earlier this year. The pixelated shadow you are referring to is from E307. I'm sorry that you do not see why KZ2 looks better than Gears 2, even if it's slightly in each category besides textures.

We've seen SP footage already for Gears 2 and it's already been compared to KZ2. Yes I'm a Gearhead, but I'm with the majority of people that say KZ2 looks better. It's just the lems that say Gears 2 looks better.

KZ2 you can look into the distance and really puts you into the enviroment, MGS4 also has a good viewing distance and once again puts you into the enviroment. And seeing some of the stuff with R2 it aswell has a good draw distance. But once again the gears games you might aswell be playing in a room with green screen all around with an enviroment being projected on to it. Hence all the detail right around you.

But we'll see as of right now the ps3 has GTp, drakes fortune, and MGS4, and definitly Kz2 in the future. R2 has got to limit itself for the scale of the game definitly with 60 player online and 8 player coop it has to be huge for the most part.

World on the street is that the 60 player online is compensated for by breaking the players into sub teams, putting them into different parts of the maps (which are massive), and having crossover points when the subteams can join up. It isn't a 30 vs 30 deathmatch like other games do.

Do people still buy this crap? Sony is notrious for doctoring their game footage.. They have been caught doing it time and time again, where the game looks spectacular at E3.. Then at launch the real game looks no where like it. This is not saying its going to be garenteed to look bad, or worse then other games.. Just wait before you make such fanboy comments.sSubZerOo

I have been saying that all along as well. Motion blur is very unrealistic and its only for cinematic effect usually, but KZ2 uses it to disguise its ugly graphics.

I think it looks worse than the original, correct me if I'm wrong. Their improved sense of scale must have taken a toll on the visuals.
