Not gonna argue with fanboys anymore, I seem to get modded every time for it. Go ahead and think Gears 2 looks best, I don't mind.Chutebox
I don't think Gears 2 looks better. I know it looks better. Look at the gifs I posted. The Gears 2 ones make KZ2 look last gen.

There is nothing to argue about , Geow 2 looks better... you are a fanboy if you think everyone who says geow 2 is a fanboy.

Thank you ps3weee. If someone who had never seen either game before looked at the pics and videos of Gears and KZ2, not one person would think KZ2 looks better. KZ2 is very fuzzy and has terrible textures. It never was a good looking game and it never will be.

Enforcing Trolling on System Wars.... isn't that the point of this forum.
Yea, Ive gotten moderated for stating facts and opinions, none of which were ever offensive, oh well, at least they don't ban me.
I'd always put my money on Gears because it was the first game I'd ever played that actually looked like the "work in progress screens" developers usually touch up and/or photoshop to hell before the game is released. Then when you get the game it looks a lot different than what they showed you. Gears wasn't like that, and it was probably the only game that I feel that way about.
lawl at the graphics whoresesb1118
Don't worry, Gears of War is praised on it's gameplay even more than it's graphics, those are just icing on the cake.
I mean no offense, but Killzone 2 is made by one of the worst devs I know of, I have no idea why Sony keeps throwing so much money on these apes, I really can't hype a game made by Guerrilla and from what ive seen, the gameplay of Killzone 2 just doesn't have that "X factor" that games like Halo and Call of Duty have. Just from seeing it played, the movement and everything is just off, that basic feeling of running around and shooting is not done right. It's something that can't be explained in words.
Resistance on the other hand, that game felt pretty generic when it came out, maybe this one will be better, but I don't see it beating Gears 2 in gameplay or graphics.

I think they encourage trolling, whenever I call someone on it I get modded for trolling...lol
Anyways, I don't want ot get modded for this so change the subject!
[QUOTE="bungie93"][QUOTE="The-Big-Easy"]*Sighs* Another Gears Of War 2 graphics thread.... Anyway KZ2 looks better than Gears 2 and way better than Resistance 2.
Chutebox
Just get over it, Gears 2 looks better than KZ2 or any other console game.
Haha, no way pal.
To be honest, the textures are much more detailed and crisp compared to the blurry textures in KZ2...though KZ2 overall looks more realistic.

Ah, finally someone I can actually talk with lol.
Gears has good textures of course, but overall Killzone 2 just looks better to me, especially in motion. The animations and how the levels we've seen really have an immersion factor I've never seen before put it over the top.

I havent seen a pic that bland in years.
Hellgate is mucher more bland than that.[QUOTE="EVOLV3"]Killzone 2 >>> R2 and GeoW 2 when it comes to graphics.Metsvideogame
you mean the game that was pushed backed because they didnt wanna go up against Gears 2? full of fail.....
Actually they pushed it back so KillZone wouldn't compete with Resistance 2 or SOCOM... then they would lose software sales so they are keeping one big FPS for holiday season and one for the next fiscal season... what are you talking about?! people on these forums talk so much junk..
The scale of the game is amazing. Do people not realize that Gears environments are smaller. Therefore there are more details in certain areas. Why do yall think Bioshock looks so good. The areas are very small.
I think people should be more logical and start taking scale, animations, art design, lighting, particle/post processing effects, character models, as well as ever-so-popular textures into account when comparing graphics.
I'm not saying it looks better than Gears 2, but it could be more technically impressive by the year's end.

It disheartens me that people don't think R2 looks good. I was listening to the 1upYours podcast where a couple of guys said they were shocked that people don't think it looks well.
I think when people play the game an realize the scope of everything and how great is looks in the proccess, they will be less critical. I don't htink R2 looks better than Gears 2 right now, but it looks incredible.
Factors such as scope, character models, animations, lighting, particle/post processing effects, as well as textures (the usual deciding facotr of a games graphics) should be considered when talking about graphics.
But when comparing KZ2 to Gears, KZ2 looks better. I mean... I'm the biggest Gears fanboy, but I acknowledge the truth.TREAL_Since
You aknowledge the truth ? then Geow2 looks better,... KZ2 looks better to you so its the truth ? In my honest opinion Geow 2 multiplayer videos looks better then Kilzone singelplayer videos , just imagine how Geow 2 will look in singelplayer, People seem to forgett how mutch better Geow looked in singelplayer then multiplayer , you are the one that called yourself a " gearhead " so you should know that singelplayer in geow2 will look alot bettter then multiplayer,
Also the shadow behind that guy on the second screenshot looks bad , if you only look at the shadow you would say that he is made of lego.
Killzone 2 > GeOW2 > Resistance 2therealmcc0y
Killzone 2 > gears 2 > resistance 2
thats it. we all know gears 2 looks better than resistance 2 but its silly to say that it looks better than killzone 2.
More money + more devs + more time will always = better graphics

I thought it was a good roller-coaster ride but to me it didn't really feel like a true film. A lot of the novelty was based on the fact that it's 1) cinema verite and 2) the monster was kept under wraps until release.
Unfortunately, if they were to bank on those two points in a sequel, the movie wouldn't be as exciting as the first one.

The monster is still under wraps! It was in the freaking movie for 5 minutes! Garbage!

I thought it was great. I almost did not watch it but I am pleased I did. the idea of using a normal video camera was great.
Plus the whole point was that you could not see the monster. it wa to create an atmosphere of confuion leading to panic. then when you finally do see the monster you are like WTF that thing is huge!
great film.

yes exactly the whole keeping it hidden thing was very suspensful is like you would see a leg and your thinking what doest his thing look like man show him already! lol
but the sequel i think they should do a prequel and actually explain how it came into being and that because it is kind of confusing as to how a monster like that didnt get detected for all this time and all of sudden it pops up

Well I guess I can only vouch for myself, but I really just wanted to see what the monster looked like, and where it came from.
If you've followed the Alternate Reality Game and watched the movie several times, you will get the basic idea of what it is.

yeah. I was very strange but I did not think about that until the end of the film it was so good.
But yeah how could that thing stay hidden? One minute they are having a party the next a huge monster is rampaging through the city. Maybe it hid underground like in the godzilla film and there are hundreds more. :|

yes but we got an explanation for godzilla, he got mutated from the nuclear bomb tests and that. in here is like out comes a monster out of nowhere lol

My best guess is that the monster was invisible befo... wait that does not work, everyone would be able to see its footprints.
Maybe it crashed down to earth which is what caused the small earthquake. It was taking a stroll in space, saw earth and decided to have some fun.
