by now I've come to realize that OOT destroys every poll it touches, so lets compare these two games

IMO the pros and cons of each, these are coming from my point of view so take them with a grain of salt

WW's pros: perhaps the best story in the whole entire series, great characters, moving soundtrack, great art direction

cons: 3 of the five dungeons are pathetic in terms of puzzles and combat, sailing can become tedious even with the warp song, main quest is to short, and last but not least....the triforce *become Tingle's slave* quest.

TP's pros: long main quest, nice dungeon design for the most part *with the exception of the temple of time, that one sucked*, huge over world that isn't as empty as the big blue waste land known great sea, and a nice cinematic flare in it's cutscenes.

cons: is some what linear compared to WW and OOT, Story is forgettable *with the exception of Midna's character development*, Sound track is disappointing *with the exeception of a couple of tracks* and difficulty ,while it is a step up from WW, is still pretty easy.

Wind Waker had an amazing style! The visuals were pretty much perfect! But, TP is over all better... even with grainy textures...

TP wins by a mile.  Because WW is pure crap.

Difinately Wind Waker. Twilight Princess just didn't seem like a true Zelda game. There wasn't nearly enough exploration or secrets.

Even though Twilight Princess is very impressive, the award goes to Wind Waker.

It has a better story, and better graphics.

Well, technically, TP has the better graphics, but TP's graphics will eventually get dated, while WW's graphics will always be beutifull.

Twilight Princess > The Wind Waker

While TWW had better atmosphere, sidequests, art style, and story, the triforce-searching/giving-money-to-Tingle, and sailing ruined the ending.

TP, on the other hand, had better characters, dungeons, and didn't have a boring moment. However, I think it had horrible sidequests, and compared to the others isn't very memorable.

WW's good. TP's great.

Tp has a better story imo. WW's story is forgettable. Proof, I don't remember it. Well...I remember the triforce pieces...

Being the liberal fresh gamer I am, I'm gonna say Wind Waker. Twilight Princess was just too bland. Nintendo was trying to play it "safe" with TP.

Twilight Princess, to me, seems to have a more 'emotional' storyline. It develops throughout the game a lot more then WW in my opinion ...

TP wins in every way. How can you even say WW's story was better ? It was pretty generic. Both were great but TP is miles ahead.

Here is a landmark Nintendo moment:

Twilight Princess is the only Zelda game where you did not have to save any princess.

Although Zelda was at your side in Wind Waker, it wasn't until Act III where you had to save her.

Wind Waker.

In my opinion Wind Waker had better characters (and with that, better character advancement), a unique look, a unique design, plenty of extra things to do, better puzzle design (more reliant on visual interpretation, rather then trial-and-error), and obviously the focus on non-linearity. The bosses were epic in scale, and were visually stunning, the dungeons were also quite beautiful, and had a much more memorable design. The story was fairly unique (or at least more-so then Twilight Princess' ), and very well thought out. I don't know, Wind Waker was the better experience for me, especially because I love pirates, yarrr.

TP takes it for me because it feels more like a Zelda game.  The puzzles were better, the direction of the plot was better, and overall, the controls were much more refined (Wii).

WW is an excellent game that just disappointed a lot of Zelda fans because it didn't feel like a Zelda.  However, I LOVED it because the world was HUGE, and the artistic style of the game was phenomenal.  The leaf was sweet too.

Anyways, the most disappointing thing of either of those Zelda games is the minimal encounters with NPCs.  I think they should have given it a little more of an RPG feel, rather than a straight up A/A.  Zelda is more epic than the typical A/A, and deserves a little more attention to detail than the others.  I felt like Ocarina even had much more to do outside of the quest than TP.

I loved the trading sequence, for two reasons -- one, it was fun, and two, the reward was awesome.

Collecting bugs and poes was not fun, and the items you got for collecting them were disappointing.

Well I am going to give them a tie. They are both great in their own ways. If I can't decide on a game I usually go by how much I've played it and I played them both about the same time (I beat WW 3 times).

I'm probably one of the few people on these boards, that actually enjoyed sailing in WW. It just felt as an adventurous unique feeling to me, not many games gave me the chance of sailing in a beatifull Cel-shaded sea. That feeling of the music kicking in once you start sailing, with the seagulls following the boat that turned out to be a living boat for that matter, is something I just don't think I could get with another series........ I could express more openly that feeling, but the bottom line is that I enjoyed it.

The way of travel(tied to the story), was something I never expected from a Zelda title. I mean sure, travelling in a horse, or using shoes that makes you faster then the wind, travelling in a Dodongo, transforming into many different races in orther to travel better, or hell I could be here all day are anything but normal(well except the horse part). But, sailing was definitely another welcomed unique addition in terms of travel in the series imo.

Wind Waker easily. Tp i found to be one huge joke. Nintendo hyped the game so much, heck i was hyping it like mad, especially after all the trailers, but it didn't deliver. It felt like and average game, and for a zelda game thats saying somethign since i regard nearly all zelda games to be in a different league.

Wind waker at least had more originallity, more charm, the graphics were fresher and they worked really well. It was even slightly more harder than TP. TP's art style is great, but in this day and age the appeal that they were going for just didn't work.

They rehashed a lot of the soundtrack from OoT and just messed it up, like the goron and zora theme. The gameplay wasn't polished. The story wasn't that interesting, graphics were dated, the difficulty of the game was made for 2 year olds.

Oot still destroys everything else

WW>TP

TP was good, but I was disappointed. Lack of sidequests, difficulty, and interactions with other characters really killed the game.

WW, however, seemed to be great all around. The sailing IMO was kinda fun, although boring at times, it was great to see your destination over the horizon, as you sailed there. The story was better also. And the Nintendo Gallery was one of my favorite side quests in all of Zelda history.

TP all the way. WW was just not the Zelda I was expecting, imo. Great game though, but TP was more "traditional" if you will, with OoT.
