[QUOTE="omarissac"][QUOTE="DropsofJupiter"] There's a link on the second page about Wii U specifically, I thinksuper600

people the PC is the lead platform. then it's being ported down to all platforms, there is a reason there was a title change inj the neogaf thread, the wiiu specs are very close to 360, there is no way in hell wiiu is the lead platform, the ps4 specs is a whole generation ahead of it. Wii U! 3 x OOE CPU at 1.2 ghz 200-352 Gflops GPU still unconfirmed but that's what neogaf, DF and beyond3d are thinking at the moment. 2GB DDR3 @ 12.8 GB/s 1GB reserved for the os. only 512mb more for games then 360 at the moment. 32MB eDRAM ) 360 3 x CPU at 3.2 ghz better cpu then wiiu. 240 Gflops GPU 512mb GDDR3 RAM @ 22.4GB/ 2x faster bandwidth then wiiu 10MB EDRAM faster edram then wii u

And the specs for the WiiU don;t tell the true stroy according to some of the tech experts on neogaf.

the only thing being debated is the SP count which is 160sp or 320sp and the fixed functions.

Glad to hear it. It's unlikely I'll pick it up on the Wii U when there's a PC version, but I'll at least look into it.

A couple of gaffers came to the conclusion that this console may have been designed like the gamecube in terms of efficiency.

yea but gamecube actually had good specs compared to ps2, wiiu is effeciante but effeciancy doesn't make it more powerful. bottom line is, system is weak and is on par with current gen until proven, cause ps3/360  games at moment look much better.

You basing that on SDK's that are not fully updated.:lol:

And it's also like the gamecube in terms of power most likely. The console will most likely produce better looking games than the specs show eventually.They won;t be signifcantly better then current WiiU games, but it will still be a leap.

Sounds like there is some serious reaching going on here.

What the Ubisoft boss said was:

Yves: "At the moment our team is working hard to release the next generation consoles and the PC. Then other teams see how they can bring to the current generation of consoles. Maybe we at E3 two different versions can show."

Ubisoft already have PS4 and 720 dev kits, I would assume he is talking about working on the PC/PS4/720 versions in house when he says "PC and next gen". The other interview linked to from that site says that the Wii U version is being worked on by Ubisoft Bucharest, which would fit with the "other teams" mentioned that are working on the current generation versions.

Sorry Sheep, but Ubisoft consider Wii U last gen, which from a hardware point of view is entirely accurate.

They can;t handle more than three versions at once so they are giving the other versions of the game to Ubisoft Bucharest.The WiiU version is rumored to be inbetween  the PS3/360 versions and the PS4/720(maybe/ the PC versions in graphics.The WiiU version will look better in terms of graphics once it releases.

Where are these rumours coming from exactly? The only sources I've seen claiming the Wii U version is going to be somewhere between the PC version and the PS3/360 version are people in forums with poor reading comprehension. There is nothing in either article that would suggest the Wii U version will be a significant upgrade over the PS3/360 versions. The boss of Ubisoft hinted there would be two versions at E3, I would be amazed if the two versions are anything but a PS4/720/PC version and a PS3/360/WiiU version. There is certainly no indication of a third version for the Wii U that's somewhere in between the last gen and next gen/PC versions. Sounds like people are just misinterpreting a badly translated interview to me. If Wii U owners are hoping the version of Watchdogs that's been shown so far is coming to their console they are setting themselves up for a fall.
