Seems more like friendly banter. Ubisoft has no reason to panic. They are the publisher that has the balls to go directly against Call of Duty.Â
GTAV is huge, but not huge enough to damage another AAA that's releasing two whole months later.Â

Don't feel bad for them. They deserved it.
That's awesome. It makes everything easier.
Whats the game you're making about?
This is basically the description of it:"It's a 2D platformer with prerendered graphics about a guy named Copper who remembers all the bad times he had with many of his enemies and plans to get revenge to teach them a lesson to not mess with him. He earns weapons that are basically arm cannons from John Darfet who he met later on and uses them to go after his enemies but has to keep a promise to John to save :|his sister Catherine who was captured and slaved by the evil Rorcolos which is the main reason why Copper is allowed to use those weapons. The arm cannons has different kind of stars that do different actions from shooting to defending Copper from danger.
-Journey on a 14 stage quest to get revenge on your enemies and save the Manlos from the Rorcolos
-The Manlo Star that comes equipped with your arm cannons have many functions like rapidly shooting other stars, using lasers to attack multiple enemies in your way, spread fire to hit enemies that surround you and are above/below you and moreÂ
-Along with 2D platforming are vehicle sections as well, some even freely let you move across the environmentsÂ
-Fight gangsters, sluts, birds, aliens, evil midgets, pirates, robots, dinosaurs, electrical people, super soldiers and plenty more
-Game goes for a more comedic and non serious route so expect it to have a cheesy, campy, goofy, funny, etc. tone"
Â
This thread isn't about your "game" bro.
It's ust marketing.
Clever, IMHO. By making that connection it's going make people pay attention.. well, case in point.

Agreed that its clever, its a good thing to try to associate yourself with GTA and attract that crowd. Although it could also be a bad thing if people compare Watch Dogs to GTA 5 after release. I don't know if you want to directly compare your game to possibly the most popular game in the world.
I have my ps4 version paid off so i'll certainly be visiting Chicago. But i'll also still be visiting Los Santos as well so it's a win win for me.
GTA V sucked when compared to the hype + scores and anyone saying they will be playing this game as much as they are now in 2 months time are still in the honeymoon periodXxR3m1xInHDn3D
Exactly just like GTA4. Grand Theft Auto is the most overrated franchise in gaming.
It will take a more mature gamer to appreciate Watchdogs. No beating hookers, sucker-punching strangers and other degenerate behavior to entertainment the miscreants.

I don't do anything that you mentioned there when I play GTA games. I appreciate the cultural relevance, freedom and attention to detail of the world. I'm sure I will appreciate Watchdogs for similar reasons.Grand Theft Suto V is trash, I take it back Ubisoft. Who the heck am i supposed to care about or route for here? Nature looks nice, but why is there only 1 city instead of 3? Where is fake Beverly hills and Fake Las Angelous/Vegas?? JakandsigzBeverly hills is in it. And they're probably going to push LV and SF DLC packs. This game is beyond anything Watch Dogs is packing. Way beyond.

Way beyond. Not in the amount of city with stuff to do. i mean running around the river is nice for the first hour, but otherwise no. Why should I wait for DLC for something they could have already done? There is so much empty space, even if it was half sized it would be better than nothing. San Andreas is 3 cities not one! But again, who the heck am I supposed to care or route for in this game?

Overrated just like GTAIV. Pack a ton useless content in and people go crazy. 2013 Skyrim.

I could tell you that pigs are purple, you gonna believe that too? Form your own opinion..Most games are repetitive. It's making the repetitive things fun that separates the good from the bad. GTA V is fun and the heists are badass.quote] OH DAYUM! Ubisoft is in dire panic desperation mode. lol 2 months, they are scared shitless.Jakandsigz
I'm sorry... "panic mode"? "Scared shitless"
No no son, you are beyond misinformed. This is in no way the case. Granted there's no way that Watch Dogs will sell more than GTA and it probably won't review quite as high either. But UbiSoft as a company and more especially Watch Dogs as a title have literally nothing to fear. It's just a hype-inducing marketing campaign. And a clever one at that. If you think that they have something to worry about then you need to double check your facts.
As far as GTA goes, I'm not playing it at all. But were I, I would without question stop playing for Watch Dogs. There is no question that it will be the more interesting and unique game between the two.

You can do a lot more than that in the game. But to each it's own. Why is how many things one can do so important ? Is Quantity more important than depth ?So while we're on a thread about WD.
Is there anything else you'll be able to do outside of hacking and the story? Or is it gonna suffer the L.A. Noire/Mafia II syndrome of having jack shit to do post game thus wasting the city's potential?
I am going to skip GTA V and just play Watch DogsThe_Last_Ride
I have a feeling I will wish I had done that after tomorrow night. I could probably still get $50 for it on eBay.

I think the only person who told you that is yourself, in some effort to reaffirm that GTA V is as bad as you believe.Nope my friend that had been hyping the game for months and convinced me to try said it. Said the TLOU is much better which no suprise because open world games like this are usually filled with useless content.
