Uncharted 2 didn't win GOTY on any major site

GameSpot gave the GOTY to Demon's Souls, GameTrailers gave it to Modern Warfare 2.

Give me a break, linear and boring climbing system, mediocre shooting experience and a decent story. Nothing more than that. If you can look pass the graphics, this game is nothing more than decent.

theres actually written publications which are credible and gave it to U2 im preetty sure Edge and Eurogamer both arecredible as far as this board goes and gavee U2 the GOTY did they not?

So do some research before blasting the game.

Really for my GOTY its a tie between tekken 6,B:AA,U2,ACII all were excellent and i only just got em and are good.

I'm sure Naughty Dog is wiping their tears away with the other GOTY awards.

the animations are what make these systems good its so fluent compared to a range of games in the market.Also the story was like your summer action film you see every year and the fact Nathan and the other characters felt like they had personality also are what bumped the score.Sometimes i feel Ezio is really flat compared to Drakecause of the narrative of the game and context.The games Linear but its challenging on crushing and there is depth to the linearity by finding treasures if thats your ball game in some ways i will agree the linearity holds it back but in other cases for its story its actualy one of its better strengths.

Games dont need to be open world to be good imo.

I thought I saw a thread earlier that said that the game had won like 39 GOTY awards. I don't think you know what you're talking about. And Gametrailers? PC GOTY MW2... 360 GOTY.... MW2?...... PS3 GOTY.... MW2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????? Gametrailers is totally whack now

Who the hell cares? It is one of the best games of 2009 by a large margin.There is no fail in UC 2 AT ALL.

If you need validation that a game is good from a video game website then....Well, let's just say you have a huge problem.

And GOTY awards are mostly rubbish anyway.

Uncharted 2 is an awesome game, but I have gotten more from Demon's Souls.

I never had alot faith with GT but now I have lost the few faith I had. Giving MW2 GOTY, quite disappointing indeed.
