This game really shows the advantages of the ps3 hardware

.....who the h, cares....just enjoy the games..the graphics are above average but you guys aren't getting SOO hung up on them
People said the same about Uncharted 1, Gears of War, MGS4, GT5: Prologue etc etc, and look what happened - they got bettered. I remember Ubisoft saying that GRAW 1 used 80% of the 360's power, and GRAW 1 stopped being benchmark material after just 6 months. Point is, graphics will always get better, and developers will always find ways of better using the consoles power.
Do it, Uncharted has much greater depth in its details and far better animation though.Don't make me pull out the Crysis screenshots!

[QUOTE="aaronmullan"]Current console graphics, yes. Crysis still completely obliterates it.Jared2720This is an exaggeration. Crysis "completely obliterates" Super Mario Bros. It does not completely obliterate Uncharted 2. People need to lay off of the hyperbole around here. Actually it does. Crysis is not a linear TPS. It is a open world FPS with alot of under the hood features.
And I'm not even a hermit....
You were saying?
If I upgrade my PC next year Crysis Ultimate or w/e will be my first purchase and possible Crysis 2 since I doubt it will be a huge improvement.[QUOTE="Whiteblade999"]Do it, Uncharted has much greater depth in its details and far better animation though.Don't make me pull out the Crysis screenshots!

[QUOTE="muscleserge"]The amount of shaders that Crysis has rivals pixar movies, how can a console game come even close to that.WiiMan21
No it does not, thats pushing it a bit.
Yeah I agree, Crysis is not Pixar but it is unbeaten in the world of games.

Actually there was an artice before Crysis released that said basically that the amount of shader Crytek had to write rivals a pixar movie, doesn't mean it looks like one, because shaders are only one part of game graphics as a whole. The amount of shaders that Crysis has rivals pixar movies, how can a console game come even close to that.muscleserge

Why Pixar toy graphics? Try Transformers movie trailiers. http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/38145/135/ "Watch out, Larrabee: Radeon 4800 supports a 100% ray-traced pipeline" "All those Transformers teaser trailers were rendered on a GPU and - more importantly - directed in real-time"Nearly everytime someone talks about this game it's about graphics. Same thing with Crysis. I think everybody knows already those two have amazing graphics.
Im still seeing a small upgrade here, no more of an upgrade then say halo odst offers. But im going off the cow defition of that since i believe odst has quite a few upgrades not large but small and they tend to commuilate...but it fits my purpose here to use the cow defition since i just dont see a major upgrade over uncharted 1.

lol wut?
"depth in detail" - Crysis' models are rendered with much more polys. They are way more detailed and have much higher resolution textures, normal maping, specular maps etc. Crysis on its highest settings is waay more detailed.
"animation" - lol ok but animation is hardly ground breaking is it? I mean, its pretty much down to the motion capture studio that you use.

Actually, Uncharted's animation uses more keyframes than most other AAA games, which makes it's more fluid. Still, it's not that obvious.[QUOTE="DAZZER7"][QUOTE="chadwick1343"] Do it, Uncharted has much greater depth in its details and far better animation though.zyrumtumtuggerm

No, it's technically more easy to do on PS3, since animation can be offloaded to the SPE's. Killzone 2 did it too. Please Log In to post.
