Yay your thread finally got stickied...:)

Hype for Uncharted 2 is a 9.5.

Game is easy AAA quality. Should I say AAAA? Has a chance.

Cit doesn't really have any reviews. SMG and LBP were hype driven as well. Both didn't deserve there scores (especially LBP but now isn't the time or place) but 3 games getting good scores doesn't deteriorate the point. The point wasn't these games aren't capable of getting good scores. The point was these games are looked at as inferior to the action junkie games. I don't think I'm wrong. I think if I asked every reviewer which game they would rather play, SMG or UN2, majority would pick UN2. Also, I think I give critics too much credit for having an open mind, I give them the benefit of the doubt and every review I read just makes me wonder why I do. The tone, the content, the enthusiam, its not there when they aren't playing action or "mature" themes. Is it a taste thing? Quite possibly, which is fine except that taste is never balanced out on the staff. If one part of the staff likes it, you know every other one is a carbon copy. This doesn't make for good fair reviews even when the staff is trying to be objective (which most of the time they aren't)

Well most games are action based in some way so just because they have real guns is kind of stupid to detract from them. Also, there have been some casual games given good reviewsand most of the WII is that. Hey bad reviews won't stop me from getting Afrika as I think it will be a great break from all the shooing type/action/platform games I have. Yes unfortunately games like Donkey Kong, Joust, Dig Dug, MS Pac Man, Mario and Sonic games seem to besuch a distant memory from they type of online deathmatch shooting games we see now a days.

Meh, I feel like I'm giving the vibe that I don't like action. I do, I just don't enjoy it being held up as so triuphantly superior to the games that don't follow that mold. I like shooting Zombies as much as I like a good puzzle.

Agreed and I love how you can throw the treasure as well. When I come across enemies I like to throw it as far as possible, throw a couple of grenades at the enemies, run past them as they get thrown through the air, pick the treasure back up just after it hits the ground and continue running 8)

I've yet to try out the cinema mode, sounds neat. Have you ever got a message that says "There was an error loading the saved game. The data may be corrupt.(Save Game 1)"? I get it after every game, it's annoying :x

Did you have the old beta? If you did, delete your save file from it and it should fix the problem.

How do you rewind movies? Seems you can fast forward and move frames forward but not backwards. Only lets you rewind to start :s ?

Is there an old save further down the list? If not then I'm not sure what's causing it. I know a few people were having the same problem and deleting their old save fixed it.

I have no problem with early reviews but I do think that in the time the review is up they probably would have lots of time to give the game more playthroughs and put it under some more rigourous testing. I mean best single player experience ever needs more than one play through right? :P

Its nice to see a lot of people enjoying the multiplayer. Hell twoweeks ago there were threads left and right bashing it and calling it generic. I've been in both beta's and I can tell you its far from generic.
