[QUOTE="IronBass"]

[QUOTE="AdobeArtist"]Voice cast: UC2 has Nolan North and Claudia Black. ME2 has Keith David, Carrie Ann Moss, Yvonne Stravosky, Tricia Helfer, Michael Hogan, Seth Green, and MARTIN SHEEN. No disrespect to Nolan but... oh hell, NO game has a voice cast close to ME2 :DAdobeArtist

Am I the only one that finds Miranda's Australian accent irresistible?

is it just me or is her black Loyalty outfit so much more flattering on her than her standard outfit?

I like the look of the black one better but the first one is white so it allows shadows that highlight her ummm....assets more

Oh, no, it's not only you, at all.

I concur as well. Shes always a part of my threesome (out on the battlefield of course) :P

Who I picked would mostly depend on my character cIass. In my first play as a Sentinel, I usually went with Garrus and either Grunt or Samara. Now as a pre Biotic Adept who needs the tech backup, I usually go with Garrus and Miranada. Between the 3 of us, I have two that can Heavy Warp, and two that can Overload (one for heavy, one for area). Plus Miranda has the squad damage bonus and we all get the benefit of my Squad Warp Ammo bonus ability.

Though at a mid point in the game I'm considering switching Garrus out for Mordin, to see how his Incinerate and Cryo Blasts will complement our Warp and Overload abilities. Oh and I'm guessing trapping enemies in a Heavy Singularity, then Incinerate Blasting them will make for a killer combo

Mordin's incinerate is the best ability in the game, just wish his others were a bit more complimentary!

Ooh seriously a tough call. Uncharted is more polished and driven towards a strong conclusion, and it has MP, but Mass is an incredibly unique game that gives you many, many hours of gameplay on each pass. I gave each of them a 9.5, they are almost perfect in their respective categories. I would say give the edge to Uncharted 2 if you play online (co-op, arena mode and competitive MP), and Mass 2 if you do not, simply because it offers more hours of gameplay. Both are incredible games and I'm glad I own them both.

The black outfit does basically the same thing. Only with bluish highlight sheen created from the shiny black material :P

UC2 is the better game

da_illest101

Although "better" is opinion...I have to agree after playing both games. When I play UC2 I actually DO feel im in a movie and cant wait to see whats coming up next. ME2?...eh..its ok, but it feels like something I have played a million times before. Its just my opinion.

Not an achievement, just his straight lvl 4 incinerate power. Combined with a character with overload and one with warp (shields/biotics) u can insta kill most low level guys and even higher levelled bosses very fast. And 'cos incinerate is so good vs armour it helps vastly against those pesky killer big bots and collector nasties. I hardly used Mordin on my first playthrough (was pretty much garrus + another) now Mordin is always first in line!

I thought it was an okay game, the cutscenes were impressive and well written, and it looked fantasic. I really thought combat was weak and the platforming parts tiresome (really another lampost/flagpole to climb?), but platforming was never a fav of mine, don't like Mario Bros for example. I think for people who enjoy that though U2 would be close to the pinacle of such games.

I am in the middle of my Insanity run right now. The only tough spots are Horizon and the Collector Ship so once you clear those two humps it is not that bad. Also once you get to final mission you should have most if not all the upgrades. I have 2 loyalty left and 3 N& missions then I will do the final ones. The only other achievment I need is brawler but I will do that after my insanity on a easy setting so I can get close enough.

Anyone can say that about any game right? I played Crysis on my friends PC on full settings and I didnt think it was all that. I have played and bought every single HALO game and I dont think much about those. GrandTheftAUto DONT like, Final Fantacy games HATE. Mass Effect nothing new to me...AND YES I have played and have every game mentioned.

Its just too easy to say .."i have no idea what all the hype is about"

Combat was weak? Have to disagree. In terms of cover-based shooters, it's better than both Gears and Mass in that regard. Hit detection is better, cover is more organic and diverse, your AI buddies actually move out of the way (they are rocks in Gears), enemy AI is more adaptive, then you have the melee combos to spice things up. You can also vault over cover in far more instances since the maps don't have arbitrary invisible walls like Gears. I find that the aiming is crisper as well, I find in Gears I am constantly tapping to adjust the reticle, it's harder to line up with very fine movements. I only notice because I have been playing both in the past week. Uncharted 2 came out a whole year later than Gears 2, and Gears 2 was a minor jump from Gears, so it stands to reason they would have the strongest showing. There may be other games you prefer the style of, but the combat is hardly "weak" when it hits all those notes.

What really chapped me is that your weapon, armor etc. upgrades don't carry over to your second playthrough. Your skills and level does, and so does your weapon loadout, but that's it. I got to level 30 on my guys second playthrough, but now what? I'm playing on Veteran to give myself a bit of a challenge (just requires a lot more biotics and biotic combos) but knowing I will never permanently max those weapons and get something new is a bit of a sticking point. It's not possible to get every unlock on each playthrough. Only 2 SMGs throughout the entire game? I was expecting a few more. Still an incredible game, but I wish they took the replay value to the same level as MGS4. I lost 3 on the final mission, so I will complete this playthrough looking for a better result to carry over to Mass 3. I hope they give me a reward for beating all 3 games with the same character.

I'm only missing 2 achievements myself. The Incinerate and Insanity achievements. I hope with still 3 loaylty missions to go, acquiring Legion (his Loyalty being 1 of the 3) and the IFF, plus a few N7 missions, I'll have the chance to get the Incinerate achievement. I probably won't bother with Insanity. I just don't see RPGs the same way as pure shooters. To me they're more about the story and character exploration than the combat challenge. But that's just me.

NG+ is supposed to make the game harder because all the bad guys are same level and you do not have the upgrades. Do your insanity run with a new game and it can be a ME1 carry over.

As far as keeping people alive do this-

-Make sure to have all upgrades. You can loose 3 team members on the flight there alone without ship upgrades.

-Make sure to have everyone with loyalty done. Bioware said on their forums when talking about their hidden stats that a non-loyal member can kill other people

-Tali or legion-in the vents

-Jacob,Miranda,Garrus for the team leader

-Jack or Samara for biotic barrier

-Send Mordin back with the crew since he seems he can die easier then most

-Hold the line part some of the good members for that are grunt,Zaeed, Jacob and people that are more soldier type

-For me no matter the class I play I think Samara and Thane are best to take at the end. Heavy Warp and Reave tear threw armor with no trouble. Also Thane and Samara have throw for off the platforms. Also Samara has pull to get them from behind the covers.

Do you think Mordin can survive the final battle? Not so much against the last boss, but to support you with his Incineration on the collectors, along with yours and Miranda's heavy warps (I'm playing as Adept now).

Ya if he is on your team it is no problem since you just use medi-gel as long as he is loyal. I never lost Mordin myself but from reading the bioware forums it seems if he is on the hold the line part he has a chance of getting killed no matter what. Seems he just has a random thing in his hidden stats. His incinerate is great also so should be a big help.

Yeah I get that it's supposed to be harder, but they could have just offered me the next difficulty and let me keep my upgrades. Being able to completely max everything and carry it forward would urge me to try out Hardcore, then Insanity.

It still has a lot of replay value, just not as much as I would have liked in terms of carry-over. MGS4 and Resident Evil 5 were both great examples of this. So is Dead Space.

I will try that combination on my next playthrough. I'll tell Miranda to shut it, then get her loyalty back with full Paragon so I don't lose Jack, and use Tali instead of Mordin and Jacob instead of Zaeed.

I've been pretty vociferous of my dislike of Gears and I think personally U2's combat was worse than that, plus one bit I absolutely HATED was in the jungle theres a scene where you get swarmed by bad guys and I tried flanking to a waterfall and kept spawning from nowhere, out of thin air, beside me. It might sound minor but I really hate that kind of thing.

[QUOTE="SilentlyMad"]NG+ is supposed to make the game harder because all the bad guys are same level and you do not have the upgrades.

Hahadouken

Sorry I just do not see the point of insanity or the insanity achievment if I could just beat the game on normal and then play the game on insanity with every upgrade. I honestly like it better the way it is. Also if it is just doing the next degree of difficulty if you can finish the game on hardcore then you can on insanity. I honestly think t has a ton of replay but everyone enjoys games different.

As far as the Miranda Vs Jack fight. Do not have both of their loyalty missions done till you have either 80% paragon or renegade. You can do one of them whenever but at least save one till you have 80%. Then when they fight you can keep both their loyalty. LegionVs Tali is high but not sure how much since everytime I have 100%.

You can either play Drake, a big homo running around with his panties caught in a twist or you can play as bad ass Shepard and make him into any character you wish.

Your choice.

Well, U2 does have a bit better rating on gamerankings than ME2 lol.

Not agreeing with the guy though, can't really test what he said...

likei said...the thread is inaccurate... since its over run with hermits and lemmings, and its pretty safe to assume that there are much more lemmings and Hermits here than cows. Anyways U2 has higher scores, much more industry awards and a degree of polish that ME2 doesnt even touch

Do a coin flip, if this was me I wouldn't be able to choose between the two and it is better then listening to fanboys in system wars.

Last I checked, the average score for both is 9.6,so where do you got those higher scores from,eh?

And U2 didn´t got awards when it came out,it did so at the end of the year. So will ME2,most likely,at the end of 2010.

Its so awesome how PS3 owners will be getting both of these games in their library soon enough.
