[QUOTE="Hahadouken"] What really chapped me is that your weapon, armor etc. upgrades don't carry over to your second playthrough. Your skills and level does, and so does your weapon loadout, but that's it. I got to level 30 on my guys second playthrough, but now what? I'm playing on Veteran to give myself a bit of a challenge (just requires a lot more biotics and biotic combos) but knowing I will never permanently max those weapons and get something new is a bit of a sticking point. It's not possible to get every unlock on each playthrough. Only 2 SMGs throughout the entire game? I was expecting a few more. Still an incredible game, but I wish they took the replay value to the same level as MGS4. I lost 3 on the final mission, so I will complete this playthrough looking for a better result to carry over to Mass 3. I hope they give me a reward for beating all 3 games with the same character.AdobeArtist
NG+ is supposed to make the game harder because all the bad guys are same level and you do not have the upgrades. Do your insanity run with a new game and it can be a ME1 carry over.As far as keeping people alive do this-
-Make sure to have all upgrades. You can loose 3 team members on the flight there alone without ship upgrades.
-Make sure to have everyone with loyalty done. Bioware said on their forums when talking about their hidden stats that a non-loyal member can kill other people
-Tali or legion-in the vents
-Jacob,Miranda,Garrus for the team leader
-Jack or Samara for biotic barrier
-Send Mordin back with the crew since he seems he can die easier then most
-Hold the line part some of the good members for that are grunt,Zaeed, Jacob and people that are more soldier type
-For me no matter the class I play I think Samara and Thane are best to take at the end. Heavy Warp and Reave tear threw armor with no trouble. Also Thane and Samara have throw for off the platforms. Also Samara has pull to get them from behind the covers.
Do you think Mordin can survive the final battle? Not so much against the last boss, but to support you with his Incineration on the collectors, along with yours and Miranda's heavy warps (I'm playing as Adept now).
Ya if he is on your team it is no problem since you just use medi-gel as long as he is loyal. I never lost Mordin myself but from reading the bioware forums it seems if he is on the hold the line part he has a chance of getting killed no matter what. Seems he just has a random thing in his hidden stats. His incinerate is great also so should be a big help.
