some people even reported that they finished in 6 hours, but sure it will take 15 hours if you take naps in between.

The average is over 14 hours. Don't be a liar.

There is a Trophy for completing the game in 6 hours or less- it's called the Speedrun Trophy, and only 0.9% of all Uncharted 4 players have it. Stay salty, though.

Is he really lying though? :)

I beat Uncharted 4 in all of it's glory on Crushing Difficulty and I just want to say that 10/10 was WELL justified.

Phenomenal Game and great closure to the Series. This was Naughty Dog's Magnum Opus.

I'm replaying in Crushing. hardly ever do this. Was stealth more important than shootouts? I first played on moderate so I was mixing the two.

I mixed the two as well and honestly it was just more frustrating than anything. I'd say if you can sneak your way through the game then do it, saves you a whole lot of hassle.

Also Auto Aim is your friend. (had to use it on the last few chapters. I HAD IT with most of BS fights man.

Does using auto aim affect your ability to get the trophy? I turned it off on moderate because I like aiming for the headshot.

This game on Hard without aim-assist is hard enough, can't imagine playing on Crushing when I can't even tag the enemies and such.

I've been doing pretty well so far. The goal is to not get flanked at any point. Don't move recklessly either. You can die just moving cover to cover.

Ignoring the problems with the game is also not going to "work". And who the **edit** cares about GOTY? Seriously. Do people play games for themselves or for others?

UC4's 10/10 and GOTY status is still causing plenty of butthurt among the lemming/hermit masses I see.

did sony put a gun to your head and tell you to keep saying these things? If they did its ok, your secret is safe with me. I'm not sure why we'd be salty if we have PS4's and can play these games. Your statements make no sense in this context.

I'm actually finding these accusations of anyone criticising UC4 being salty lemmings/hermits pretty damn funny so keep it up.

Your reasoning is rather nonsensical because in your warped mind no game should be critiqued if the player cannot make a better game. It also avoids the issue at hand by simply not addressing it. The game has issues and the magnitude of these issues vary from player to player. I know its the System Wars but at least let some level of reasoning take residence.

It took me 20+ hours to finish, but there's a trophy for finishing in under 6 hours.

Yeah and you have to do it intentionally. Like skip cutscenes, skip treasures, run through enemies (probably on the lowest difficulty). I doubt anyone played it this way on their first play through.

So I beat UC4 just now (started after finals). Honeymoon phase I'd give it a 9/10 as I enjoyed most of the game especially after Scotland.

Interesting comments on this board outside the fanboy drivel. Not sure which I enjoyed more: this or UC2. I will say that UC4 is further evidence that UC3 was a turd.

Finally finished the game. The last few chapters while not redeeming the game as a whole, were worth it to get to.

Story was excellent, few very cool exciting action sequences, but too much climbing.

8/10 from me.

I hope they either do something completely new or Last of Us 2.

Ending was great....very fitting.

Btw, Crushing is not Crushing anymore. RPG+Infinite Ammo is allowed :P

And yes, you'll get the trophy. Not sure if it was an oversight or not. Probably not.

I was hesitant to do this, but thanks for the heads up. I'll try to get as far as possible before they patch it lol.

Maybe not with an rpg though. That's overkill.

Yes! I've replayed that encounter many times on crushing. Used the ARX-160 with unlimited ammo and the China Lake. Still died...

So after a day I'd still give the game a 9/10.

The game is an overall improvement and technically and mechanically the best in the franchise. However the game really does nothing new as I got what I expected. Still I'd say they figured out how to balance the action with the platforming. While neither aspects are the best, I think the overall package works.

There are parts of the game where I felt it dragged on but unlike UC3, there are aspects of it where I didn't feel like was a complete waste of time. I am serious when Is way that UC3 sucked and I believe ND understood the criticisms.

I would not give this game a 10 because I do think there is still room for improvement. The gunplay is better but could feel better overall. Platforming I feel is smoother then the previous games but could be even more smoother. I like the stealth elements but once again, that could be improved.

The story sucks but then again it is Uncharted so I wasn't expecting much. However on the positive, I don't hate Nathan Drake in this game as I did in the previous games.

If I were to rank the last five ND games on consoles:

  1. Uncharted 2
  2. The Last of Us
  3. Uncharted 4
  4. Uncharted 3
  5. Uncharted

UC2's train and helicopter aspects bump the game ahead of UC4. It is hard for me to compare UC4 to TLOU but TLOU did thinks better from a gameplay aspect. Narrative wise I don't want UC4 to be like TLOU.

If you disliked or hated the Uncharted games then this game won't convince you otherwise.

Lastly I thought the ending was decent. I say this knowing that most video game endings suck so the standards are low.

@Blabadon If you want to know what my current thoughts are on the game.

Normal.

I also think the enemy A.I. improved from UC3.

@Seabas989: ah ok. Yeah I was pretty fucking ecstatic how good the gunplay was, my issues lie more within how the cover system isn't perfect at occasionally the worst moments.

The AI is hundreds of time better than 3, even The Last of Us, no doubt thanks to the PS4. A lot of that comes down to the way enemies come to you en masse, but at least they're a marked improvement from past entries.

This game really shines on Crushing difficulty. Since the combat really shines everything seems to be more enjoyable.

B/c the game was actually kinda boring on Normal. The gun fights/sneaking sequences went by really quick so it felt like there was no meat to the game. As I said, it felt like it was 70-80% story climbing and such and 20-30% combat...which sucked.

On crushing....you have to really be careful. Theres no marking of enemies so you have to always be aware of your surroundings.

The best bet is to sneak kill as many as possible before you get seen so that you diminish your chances of getting gun down by a dude with a shotgun that can 1 shot you....lol.

All said and done.....it's just a major challenge hike compared to normal....which is welcome and makes the rest of the game that much better.

don't know where you are on it yet. I'm just saying when you get to the Island is when the game gets pretty dang hard.

Chapter 18 I had to use the auto aim just to continue. I mean I bet it is possible to beat that section and the ones after it without it, but it's super tough.

I understand where you are coming from but I wouldn't say that it shines because of what you stated. It seems like you were able to spend more time with this element of the game because of the increase difficulty. I just wish there was more play in the game. At least you found a way to get more play.

I guess my major gripe with the game at first is that there wasn't enough combat.

The increased difficulty changed that. So, for me, it completely changed my outlook on the game.

Just chiming in with my thoughts. From pure presentation and production value alone, this game is easily a 10. However... there's this whole matter of "game" that needs to be addressed. In my opinion, it falls quite short of Uncharted 2 in gameplay. I felt Uncharted 2 was perfectly balanced, but Uncharted 4 stumbles several times pacing wise. I started falling asleep through a few chapters. I also got to 19 and don't feel like I was given a proper tomb to explore and a puzzle to solve. Everything have pretty much just been a playground of environments to explore and set pieces to escape through as it all crumbles around you. Honestly, I just want to stop playing and go back to Uncharted 2. Hell, the train sequence stuck out more than anything in this game so far.

i loved the game up until chapter 16 then the story went in a different direction.

I think Uncharted 4 is the best game but I am enjoying Rachet & Clank more.
