No, if I wanted the game I'd buy it, no reason to be butt hurt over rehash, it's like Sony fans being butthurt over a new Halo.
Then why are you crying about Uncharted in two threads already then? Clear butt hurt right there.
Quick to jump too, i'm not even sure if Drake will be in it, given it'll release in 2014 that'll only have been the 4th in 7 years, how does that qualify as a rehash? This ain't Halo.
Because if you've played Uncharted 1 then you've played Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3, and the fact that they've had 2 years between games and fail to make the games any different speaks volumes of Naughty Dog's tendency to rehash their games.

Dear god this is generic nonsense. No surprise Lemmings struggle to find legitimate flaws in a series with one of the most critically acclaimed games of the gen if not all time.

Dude..shut up...Maybe if you didn't alternate shoving your head up Sony' and Naughty Dog's asses you could see why most people considered Uncharted 3 stale and not as good as the first two games. Go ahead, try to name any big addition that Uncharted 3 had over Uncharted 2. Every f*cking thing was the same, same mechanics, same exact carbon copy game play, even the plots were nearly identical.
I know you're an idiot but try to think objectively without letting your fan boy cloud your train of thought.
Uncharted 4 announcement caught me off-guard. One of my fav series ever is coming and made by ND and not some 3rd rate developer like people were expecting.
I can play Uncharted for years and not get bored. I hope they come up with some more godlike co-op and maps for the competitive MP. In fact, I feel lke playing UC3 right now...

This is kind of what i'm talking about. You've jumped in to calling it a rehash despite:
1) Not seeing any gameplay, no info on characters or setting.
2) You're basing what this game will be like on one of the three games being similar to it's predecessor.
And you're surprised i called you out on that?
Stealth was much improved in 3, was better executed and more frequently implemented, in 2 it was tacked on. Melee improved greatly, the story took a very different route and was better told imo. The plot is only similar in the loosest of sense that there was some sort of danger to the world to be fixed, if that's an issue don't watch 99% of the films and games being released this year.
I think there might be another, not the one people were talking about surprising even Yoshida. Who makes their biggest announcement in the first 10 minutes?
Sony does......
ND is their best dev from last gen. Hopefully they don't join the ranks of 949 studios, GG, Polyphony, and any other dev that could not make the leap to the next console. Good luck ND.
What??? ND made Crash on PS1, Jak & Daxter on PS2, and Uncharted and Last of Us on PS3. I don't think they have to worry about making a jump to next gen.
On Topic, I love me some Uncharted and can't wait to see what ND can do with the PS4.

1. Ok, fair point, but we already know how this is going to be a third person/action game with some puzzles and lots of scripted sequences. That's Naughty Dog's style, they did the same thing with TLOU
2. Stealth was not improved, neither was melee, and the melee has always been awful QTE in Uncharted, there is no seamless integration, when you fight the bigger guys in Uncharted 3 you literally enter a QTE sequence, you can't get shot and you can't get out of it until you beat the guy's ass.
Dude, go to the last area's in both games, both of them were nearly identical except Uncharted 3 had a trippy scene were you drink some water and run around hallucinating.
meh. I'm sure it will be good, but that doesn't mean it will be great. Unfortunately, most games that come after the main franchise (like this one) are started with the purpose of making money and milking the franchise rather than accomplishing some grande vision. I don't know this for a fact, but I believe when deciding what to do next they said "Lets make another Uncharted! How should we do it?" rather than doing what makes a great game and saying "we have this awesome concept, how can we accomplish it?" In other words, I think they started off wanting to make an Uncharted for the sole purpose of making an Uncharted and continuing the franchise, which just screams milkage to me - these types of games are never as good as the originals.
Anyways, I think the team at ND making this one are the ones who made U3, which was ok, but not great. They are obviously the second level team and not as good as the U2 and TLoU team.
Even though I know nothing about this game, I am going to assume it will be an average/decent, but forgettable, game who's only purpose is to make money and continue the franchise. And this is based on the dozens of times this has happened to game series in the past. But, I'd love to be proven wrong.

There's literally only a 20s stretch that's even remotely similar where both had bridges and land collapsing that you jumped around on. The endings played entirely differently outside of that. I'd say that's stretching a lot to call them similar given it's such a small part of the ending.
The Uncharted series clearly follows a theme and similarities running through it, but calling it rehashy (especially when you know nothing about the game coming out) is pretty stupid. I don't know about you but i'm going be enjoying a lot of games that are apparently rehashes going off your rather wide criteria, MGS5, DR3, InFamous, Killer Instinct etc...
Seriously if i grasped the same way i could claim Titanfall is a rehash of CoD, FPS, same gunplay, similar graphics and art style, same multiplayer focus, same lack of team play like CoD. However it's clearly not.
Anyway i'm off, it's way too late now and all your stretching has even made me tired.
Hope they go back to making a game like Uncharted 2, the 3rd was horrible. This will be the game to make me buy a ps4 though, when actual gameplay comes out then I will get excited, all these cows getting excited over a map and a voice overlay HAHAHAHA.
I have UC 1 and 2 and they are great games. I ignored the third game because of the online pass and the fact that a lot of people say that UN3 wasn't as good as the first two. Anyways I hope this new one is good.
Erm, I actually not very excited over this, I'm kinda tired of the series and the 3rd one was a big disappointment. So unless they take some serious changes to the series other than just prettier graphics, I wouldn't bother.
Naughty Dog is having 2 teams now, hopefully one of them will do something new, maybe making games for other genres.
Oh yeah now I'm stoked to have gone with the PS4. That's like the best series ever. It's a great year to be a gamer. Now once that GT6 hits PS4 than it's a rap Xbox One!
Nice, loved the first two, especially the second. Never got to try the third.
Possibly play as Francis Drake?
Francis Drake's final diary entry:
"My end is near. The devils hunt for me in the darkness. The gold of El Dorado bears a terrible curse. The Spaniards have unleashed hell, and become as demons. My men have all been mudered, leaving the task to me alone. No ship will depart this island. I destroyed them all. Drowned the cursed city. A thing of such great evil must never leave these shores. In my final hour, I commend my soul to God. May he have mercy on this unholy place."
Oh man!!! I was looking forward to another TLOU or new IP but i love Uncharted and if they can freshen it up then this will probably be one of my 1st ps4 games
