its sad that even $2000 PC doesn't touch either game. and probably never will this gen.
Why sink down to their level when it has already pressed forward a generation?

Open world action rpg's is where it's at now.
Uc has some nice graphics, but damn that gameplay is so old, i would lose attention and interest within the first hour
@jereb31:
You can try and poke around and sort any way you like. The games speak for themselves-all of them.
the fact is Naughty Gods did make a 95% and 96% GOAT and to be mentioned with those other games is just validation.
Yeah, no argument here that they didn't make a good game.
But let's call it what it is, #23 & #49 GOAT not, 4 & 5.
Nope. That sort order is meaningless, so I'll call them like they are. Only 4-5 points to 100% so that makes them a top 4 and top 5 GOAT.
??? The sort order appears to be based on the average of the critic reviews and looks to have some weighting for user reviews. Either way, Naughty Dogs are certainly not the #4 & #5 title holder in that list, but #23 & #49.
Saying top 4 and top 5 implies that you are comparing them with 5 entities only. When in fact what is shown is they have 2 games that have a meta critic rating of 95% and 96%, along with more than thirty other titles also having these same ratings and having another 18 games that are ranked 97% and higher.
Currently it looks like the developer heirachy looks something like this.
Nintendo > Rockstar > (The people who make tony hawk pro skater?) > Valve > Bioware > Naughty Dogs.
So another 96% game is ahead for what reason? lolno
I only speak truth so thanks for agreeing with me. I provided links as requested to back me up. Take care m8.
Yep, looks like they use a weighted average of scores (no user scores involved) then normalise the curve (haven't done that in a while hahaha).

maybe that's the case but the graphical difference is still one generation apart.
*yawn*
I've long grown tired of linear, shallow, all style no substance games that only focus on graphics and nothing else. Like watching the trailer where Drake is trapped in a burning car and he has to get out of it by *drumroll* mashing the triangle button.
So all that resources and horsepower went into making bags of rice look as realistic as possible, yet the gameplay itself hasn't evolved past button prompts, button mashing and QTEs.

You could say the same about some other games that haven't been released yet.
Besides, uncharted may look nice in some areas, but it will cut down on other. It was the same with infamous, some parts of the game looked amazing but shadows and lighting was going back to early '2000 s.
I mean what do you expect, the ps4 is only a hd 7850 with an i3. That's really small potatoes nowadays.

At least its a potato, X1 haven't even earned that title as of yet
There was a lot of action in the E3 stage demo, and it does look great. I especially liked the fire effects when Drake was trapped underneath the overturned jeep. Cool stuff. That game might make me consider getting a PS4 next year.

The playstation 3 was graphically better as well and showed some really nice animation in games like the last of us and heavy rain.
But I still didn't like those games. Playstation exclusives have really problem with gameplay imo. Not that i'm a halo or gears fan for that matter. The only reason that i have an x1 is because of legends in fifa and the controller. Stuff like that. I'm glad that i have an x1 this month as well, since i love magic , and that game releases a month later on the ps4.
Dark souls was a great game and originated from 1st party sony, how good demon souls was i don't know but at this point there hasn't been a single game to sway me to playstation. I had a ps3 once though, to play games like the last of us and heavy rain but like I said , i don't like em and sold it again.
System specs won't sway me either, I build pc's to cater that need.
@chikenfriedrice: Yet the gameplay demo from E3 is a steady 30fps.
It's more proof than you're "Nuh uh!!!"
Yeah don't doubt It. UC2 to this day looks amazing and is a lot of fun to play through. I don't like the other UC games as much so I just pretend UC2 is a stand alone game, because you can basically dismiss the story of the other games and enjoy UC2 just fine.
I dont see how a game can be GOAT when there are higher scored games.
On topic: I liked what I saw of Uncharted 4, if they show more gameplay nearer to release and I like that also, then I will buy a ps4. I'd like to say there will be a good sized backlog of great games to get into at that time, but we all know that's a lie.
A game that's developed 2-3 years into new generation, by a developer that can push it to its limits, running at 30fps (seriously cant compare at 60fps to a 30fps game) and has static gameplay (compared to others) should look like this. Not sure what all the fuss is about.
Besides the game isn't out yet and how many times have we seen downgrades.
Saying that I've not played any uncharted and if they bring out the right bundle I just might buy it.
@gpuking: You mean all your Sony buddies agree with your opinion. I have yet to come across a credible source that says uncharted 4 is the best looking game currently, could you please provide me with one?
@gpuking: You mean all your Sony buddies agree with your opinion. I have yet to come across a credible source that says uncharted 4 is the best looking game currently, could you please provide me with one?
It cant be the best looking game since its not out yet. Horizon and UC4 were the best looking games at E3 though :)

best looking "in-engine" trailers...
Uncharted 4 makes me wanna buy a ps4. You know it's going to be outstanding. I thought maybe the new batman game would be a system seller but Arkham plight doesn't look that much different on the ps4 as compared to the xbox1.

They were both undoubtedly great looking games and I look forward to seeing how they turn out, but IMHO I believe Battlefront and Deus Ex were the best looking games at E3. What makes me kinda skeptical about Horizon and UC4 though is that they're so likely to get downgraded like other games released on PS4.
@mr_huggles_dog: Did they show the whole game or just what they wanted you to see? Lol....also the proof is in the devs own words.
Cows, all going all mooo mooo way before a game comes out then when it comes out and of course never lives up to their redonkulous hype, they move on to hyping the next game due to come out in the next year. Why not just go play 5club or The Odor or something. :P
Yawn. UC4. How about a follow up to The Last of Us?
please! TLOU >>>>>> UC. But I wonder what they would call the sequel....hopefully not TLOU2
TC kinda left some parts out from the article.
"Overall, it's a slight step back for Uncharted 4's image quality since the last demo, but the results are still ahead of most PS4 titles today."
"As a sign of future releases, it also suggests a native 1080p is still very much viable for PS4 releases pushing the envelope with a huge world, though developers are seemingly still keen to top this off with a post-process method of AA - and all the caveats that brings to absolute clarity."
"It's not squeaky clean; there are occasional one-off frame drops in our graph."
It's still the best looking console game so far don't get me wrong. But lets not crown the game overall graphics king just yet. Like DriveClub, I want to play it myself, in person and judge the graphics that way. DriveClub does not look as good as it does in the gifs floating around on the internet. And I know I'm not the only one underwhelmed by DriveClubs graphics. So I won't let Uncharted 4's hype get the best of me. If it's still just as amazing looking when I play it on launch day, I will have no problem crowning it.
Edit: Oh and The Order 1886 is not a very good looking game either. Crazy use of film grain and motion blur throughout. That game doesn't deserve to be in any graphics king discussion. It's kinda strange how the graphics of Sony exclusives get so overhyped.........

WTF are you smoking that Cinematic feel was basically push pass the mid 200X by Naughty Dog is not 90's in any way,now Halo yeah end of the 90's Half life,Golden eye.
Halo one is older and open RPG has been even older they just were 2D which is different, have you play Breath of Fire.? You can walk from town to town and even explorer some islands.
RPG are now benefiting from hat GTA make popular i may add,as with a few twist not only Red Dead Redemption can be consider an RPG but also GTA5 could..
They are just missing a level system because even the buy stuff use stuff is already there.

The lighting and particle system on Infamous look incredible and shadows look great the only problem with shadows on Infamous was that not all light sources cast one.
The PS4 GPU is stronger than a 7850 and the CPU weaker than an i3...
No matter what the xbox one is worse...

You know Uncharted was more open that Gears right, and that this chapter the gameplay is even more open right.?
Static gameplay.. What the fu** is that.?
The game is impressive and has some incredible physics which is great as Uncharted 3 had some incredible Physics to which by the time were not even on PC games...
Look how the fire spread... Damn physics...
I remember the cruise level on Uncharted 3 and how it put even PC games to shame physics wise but Cell was like an AgeiaPPU...lol
Atleast GPUking has moved on from The Order 1886.
Surprised at no Until Dawn.
You people downplay him allot but fact is Uncharted 4 is an incredible looking game with some incredible looking physics and ND has been showing some impressive physics since the PS3,Uncharted 3 was incredible physics wise.
The funny thing is that on E3 the game receive an honorary award for its graphics when PC was there with great looking games to,i don't think every one saw the PS4 and not PC that would be a joke.
Sure the PS4 doesn't have the power to do 1440p with 60FPS or even 60FPS on 1080p but at 30 it can make some really impressive games like Infamous,The order and UC4 proved.
Alto i don't consider you a true PC gamers i know you are from the most vocal complainers...
Physics is what make your world more real and life like, from the animation your characters show to the way the world react to everything the more physics the better and you know it.

But lest analyze your...
"It's not squeaky clean; there are occasional one-off frame drops in our graph."
Your quote ^^.... But did that tell the story about the frames.?
It's not squeaky clean; there are occasional one-off frame drops in our graph. However, these are anomalies in an otherwise seamless stretch of gameplay. PS4 is adept in handling everything Uncharted 4 throws at it, from the on-foot shoot-outs with heavy physics to streaming in new terrain during the car chase. By conceding to a 30fps lock the team is at least able to go all out with this set-piece; a preference compared to a theoretical 60fps that just can't be sustained.
What DF say why didn't you put the whole part.?Yeah the occasional drops on their graph were anomalies in on other wise seamless stretch of gameplay....
Again lemming you fail...
Uncharted isn't drive club my sad lemming freind DC is a racing game with no pedigree,Uncharted is an action 3rd person shooter which has been good since it started and rise to greatness even more with latter chapters,if you are trying to downplay Uncharted using DC you will look even more stupid as Uncharted always looked great and play well to..
You are grasping...lol
The order has some incredible looking models with some incredible looking physics on its cloth to only an totally blind lemming will deny this what the fu** happen to you bro,you really are a full time Blackace now..lol
@tormentos: I got the platinum in The Order 1886. Did you even play it? "Incredible looking physics on its cloth" lol. You will stretch to incredible lengths to paint a positive picture of Sony.

Yes i play it and you made it further that i ever did,the game plainly suck ass,but graphics wise bullshit man the game is incredible freaking great, but it is as enclosed as Ryse was.
Downplaying a game like The order graphics wise make you look like blackace,Kuu2,or even Foxbatalpha i agree the game sucked ass,but graphics wise na it is a great looking game.
@tormentos:
Don't make me have to bring the Crackdown on you once again mang. :P
Hahahahahahaa ok ok
@tormentos: First off, E3 awards? really?
Second, physics? yes, i know that a competent physics engine allows for a more believable experince. Ense why Star Citizen's physics rendering and overall detail is more impessive.
that's a pc game for you
Uncharted 4 is probably the most meticulously detailed game ever made. Naughty Dog always has an eye for detail.
While Star Citizen will be bigger, better looking, and overall more technically impressive, it still won't have the crazy level of details (not visual quality, just robust world details) that Uncharted 4 or any future Naughty Dog game has.
That's one major advantage of them making linear games. They can spend much more time crafting the world. They can tightly control the environments and add in a lot of detail since you only ever go through a level once. There is no need to worry about if the damage would persist or anything else like that. All of the levels are a one-and-done and that gives you the freedom to do a lot of crazy detail that you couldn't do in a more open-world game.
Linear games will always look better than open world games. They can take far more liberties with their environments and graphics as they do not have to account for hundreds of potential situations. Each level can have specific settings for each section to best optimize graphics and performance. You can't get away with that in an open world game.
The problem is, obviously, that these are linear games. They are one-and-done with maybe a playthrough. Generally they are pretty shallow experiences. Something like Star Citizen or Total War Warhammer have far more gameplay, far more depth, and way more length to them because the player drives the experience and makes the choices. With a linear game the player isn't the one making the choices. They are playing the scripted sequences.

I hope for those making all those claims about how good UC4 looks, it doesn't get downgraded as you will all look very silly hyping this game.
You really should learn from history.
And comparing it to the multiplayer part of Halo 5 is sad.
I'll wait for both to be released before getting involved in this discussion.

Yeah naughty dog pushed that cinematic feel but are also a product of sony. This is not llike an indepent dev. they can keep on making cinematic games, other gamers than sony boys won't play them.
Red dead redemption is open world and has more rpg elements than uncharted, gta is open world as well. your point?
About infamous
Shadows and lighting are nerfed
If i want graphics i go to a pc, if a want gameplay i got the xboxone, if I don't know what good games are, i go ps4 since it has that gddr5...
While this game looks amazing there is a few things to keep in mind.
UC4 was already downgraded from E3 last year. Who is to say it won't be downgraded again?
This level of visuals is highly impressive. I especially liked the jeep going through the mud but is everyone just following around that Sony carrot of hype?
Uncharted 4 is all Grafix no Gameplay?
I'm sure it's a lot better than Gears of War 4 cinematic walking at E3

Nope, considering the fact that he says he'll pay $250 for the currently sub-1080p collectors edition of Halo 5 with no physical copy, he is the type of guy who will praise anything with MS's label.
Digital Foundry assesses 343 Industries' E3 showing.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2015-can-halo-5-deliver-on-its-60fps-promise
lol this game.
Xbots are known for by hypocritical and inconsistent when making argument points to downplay playstation games out of fanboyism. It appears that he only turns into 1440 resolution 100fps urber requirement hermit when dissing PS4 games.
With those stone-age graphics Halo 5 has it should be running 4k at 100fps, but hey it's made by MS so it's all good..
GoldenElementXL says he'll drop $250 on a collectors edition of a game that would have trouble being nominated as a best looking game from last gen with a dropped split screne, sub-1080 variation resolution, has trouble running at 60fps, shit textures and no physical copy....
all while he drums up every nitpick criticism in the world for a game that is not only getting praised as one of the best looking games to come out of E3 but also the best ever seen.
@kinectthedots: Your response would make sense if I ever claimed that Halo 5 was a graphics king contender. I have never made that claim. The fact of the matter is I don't even think The Order is the best looking PS4 game so how could it be graphics king? DriveClub has some amazing lighting and weather effects but is plagued with jaggies and some dull courses. I also have a tough to time giving a racing game a graphics king nomination.
Also when was the last time I praised ANY Microsoft title or console? I have been skeptical of 343 and Halo 5 in this forum. I made a thread today where I list the entire Xbox One console under my "ignored" list. Im sorry im not as impressed by The Order as you are. Did you even play the game? I got the platinum. Have you played DriveClub? I bought it on launch day. Sorry if I think the Halo 5 LCE looks cool so I preordered it. What I do with my money is my business. I also own every Amiibo released so far. Does that make me a Sheep too? I have the Ghost Edition of Destiny on PS4. Does that make me a Cow?
@mr_huggles_dog: Did they show the whole game or just what they wanted you to see? Lol....also the proof is in the devs own words.
I'd like to see that link to where ND said they couldn't accomplish 30fps.
Do you have a demo or video of gameplay where the fps are below 30fps.
Anything....or are you twisting their words around from "We're shooting for 30fps" and then them showing a demo at 30fps.....to "We can't get the game to 30fps."
