edit: you sneaky cows I'm on to your game plan have it officially hyped AA but actually hype it AAA because either way you can't lose. SNEAKY very very SNEAKY.
While i do think Uncharted looks fantastic, I also think pointing out water effects is weak sauce. Even the most "last-gen" graphics filled "next-gen" games have great water. If you've ever worked with the video program After Effects, you know water ripples and waves are some of the simplest effects.
Show me a jaggy-less game, with real-life textures, real-life lighting, and I'll be one happy camper. Show me some cool water effects, meh.
The first game where your character makes waves through the water walking through it was unreal tournament 2003, the water it that looks just as good, f.e.a.r has better water.
