I saw the PS3 forum had an "offical" show your setup thread that reached over 1,500 posts. so why not try and get our own and see how far we can take this thread....

Maybe we can get it stickied and make it offical? I'll start it but it's pretty much up to you guys to keep it going...

Hey by the way, do you have Xenogears? I saw that you have Lunar Complete. There is a way to access a hidden video in the Xenogears disc one with Lunar complete.

Yes, I do own Xenogears. I just got Lunar Complete and have not played it yet. I will have to check it out.

To be able to take full advantage of the graphical capabilities of your 360? Please don't tell me you're playing Madden on that thing?! That's one game that looks sooooo much better in HD, but I haven't played Madden 09 in SD so I'm not sure how much better that game looks in HD then SD.

Actually it kind of does affect gameplay, well in Madden 08 at least I remember playing on a 19in SDTV and since the TV was a 4:3 it would cut out my outside recievers, so it basically made the out route not worth picking since you couldn't see how the corner was positioned but with an HDTV the moment you step back to pass the camera zooms out perfectly were you can see the entire field.

but that's just one example, not sure if there's many more.

the talk about HD and SD, i used to play ps3 and 360 in SD a year ago before i got my HDTV, yea it makes a difference but too be honest not by much, games still looked good in SD, i mite take a pic of my set up later, ive prob got the most non girly room ever haha

There is an advantage using hdtv when playing certain fps/tps game. I was able to have a clearer view of opponents who were far away. Two games that come to mind are COD4 and Graw2. I use to use scopes on Graw 2 against opponents who were far away, but when I got my hdtv I was able to spot enemies without using a scope. Same goes for COD4 where I can easilly outkill opponents who are far away and normally wasn't able to detect from far distance including snipers without using a scope with my hdtv.

Other one is where some games are not sdtv friendly like Dead Rising where you can't read the text.

Besides that it's not a big deal to own a hdtv.

I agree with you. It would be nice to have an HDTV but there so much more I would rather spend the money on. PLus if I get one I have to redo everything in my living room and that is a pain in the neck.
