Vanquish

I just saw the latest episode of the Bonus Round and they brought forward an interesting point about new IPs not selling well. So I wanted to ask, how many of you are buying Vanquish? It looks like an amazing game so far but I haven't seen many people talking about it. So, what's the verdict?

There's a demo coming out on Sept. 2, so I'll know by then if I'll buy it right away or not, or at all.

Ill get it, but sometime next year or the year after.

Uncharted 2 has given me my Gears fix for alot longer than i thought it would. Ill get Gears 3 next year and then Vanquish after.

I will most certainly be buying it day one. Easily my most hyped game for the rest of 2010. Vanquish hype thread is in my sig btw.

Same situation for me got Reach and Fallout: NV pre-ordered...looking into buying Fable III, still haven't bought Bioshock 2, not to mention Assassin's Creed Brotherhood coming out around then too. Oh and I still need to beat Fable II (just started today) and I just finished RDR campaign 3 days ago...barely touched the multi-player...basically in a game overload. Got a few other games in the back-log too but atm Fable II is the only one I'm focusing on.

vanquish is on the short list of games im buying before the end of the year, it looks like a freaking awesome game, one of the best of the year for me im hoping

Thought about buying but I most def wont though it looks good so far its showing no replay value, no MP and the game will most def not be that long just seem like a bad deal all around to me for 60 bucks. I will buy it when this drops to 29.99 at best.

I really think they should delay Vanquish till all the major games are released so it has a better chance at selling.destroyerHHH

If its going to release this year, it should release in October or December. Any date between January-May next year is suicide.

Call me crazy but I have a feeling Gears of War games are going to feel a tad boring after experiencing what Vanquish has to offer.

Zelda, Gears 3, Dragon Age, Killzone 3, Mortal Kombat, Mass Effect 2 (PS3), Portal 2, DeadSpace 2, Bullet Hell, Crysis 2.

Thats all i can think of right now. Devs are really scared of COD now so Spring seems to be the hot spot for releases. Theres not really anything similar to it releasing this year.

I might get it, we'll see.

I like the Gears series but I don't praise them as some of the greatest games ever like most people. I'm currently playing Army of Two: 40th Day and frankly I'm enjoying it just as much as I did Gears 1 and 2.

Also I played the game at E3 and it was full of win.

vanquish looks like its going to be one of the best games this year. im buying it ofcourse. first they release baonetta an epic game and now they release vanquish. i just hope it turns out as good as bayonetta. vanquish is the most anticipated title for me till the end of the year even more than reach

I'l most likely buy it. Too bad I'll have to rush through playing it since it comes out during a lot of other games. I might just put it aside for now and get it next summer when the price will be lower
