was ff13 good?

ok so ff13 is on sale at amazon.com. i want to buy it but i was pissed off at the last ff i bought.... ff12..i hated it. it felt like a chore to play it. is ff13 like ff12. if it was $20 i definitely would buy it but i think i should wait.

im not sure if anyone actually liked like it. so is it good or not?

FF13 is the anti-FF12. Everything is different. I loved FF13, even with Vanille and the linearity. The story is very strong, and the game is gorgeous.

its the worst FF ive ever played but also has the best graphics of any FF ive ever played

I don't recommend the game as I don't like the combat I prefer ATB bar's a controlling all my characters turns

It's terrible. I wouldn't waste anytime on it. You will buy it, get so bored and it will hang on the shelf for two months until you build up the stomach to finish it.

I thought it was pretty good. It could of been better, but I think it's worth the money. Nice story imo also.

IMO FFXIII is one of the worse titles. I couldn't even finish the game. I'm going to leave at that without creating a huge rant lol.

I found the game to be enjoyable for what it was. I didn't hype it up in my mind to be the "next best RPG" like most I know did.

Yeah it's a good game. Just not a great game is all. It's well worth the 30 bucks at Amazon.

I'm about half way through the game and I love it!!! Some people find the characters annoying but I don't mind them. The story isn't the best FF plot but I really like it. I've got a Dissertation deadline on Friday as soon as I've made that FFXIII is gettin' finished!!!

For what it was, imo, yes. In terms of providing side content and a coherent, well told story, no.

As and old school player of the Final Fantasy franchise (been playing since the first one of the NES), I can honestly say I absolutely adore this game. It's right up there with 7 with me as far as overall fun factor. However, Squee-nicks will never top those SNES FF's, those titles are absolutely phenominal.

PS: FF's 8, 9, 10 (and 10-2), 11, and 12 were complete garbage imo.

Some of the handheld games are amongst the strongest i really suggest playing Crisis core that game takes a massive dump over a lot of games tbh.Same with FFT war of the lions both are pretty recent aswell.FF is far from dead sure its had a few duds over the past while but every series is like that at some point.

FFXIII is better than XII in my opinion i prefer how the linearity actually drives the game forward at a good pace and it doesnt really feel like you have to grind till your balls come off until your let loose on pulse.

You're mistaken. There are good JRPGs. Their names are Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI, and Suikoden II. That is all.

well I got much farther into 12 then I could with 13

the characters are so annoying that it just make me want to skip the cut scenes whereas ff12 were so dull I skipped them too so its hard to say which of these games is really worse then the other one

like I said I don't understand all the ff13 hype the gameplay is not very entertaining, I have a lot more fun in kingdom hearts an ff6 ff7 ffx an those ones

its like ff12 you control one character the other ones do their own thing and you can see the enemies and you run into them its basically FF12 sci fi with more extroverted characters an a story that is just a bit too Final fantasy spirits within for my taste the story is like spirits an crap again I dunno some people are saying this is their favorite FF and thats one thing I will never understand not sure how many other FF's they've played and how this one toppled their old favorite i will never know

a good game? yes. the worst 3d final fantasy (besides X-2 and IX)? maybe. but still a good game just doesnt live up to the standard of FFAndrovinus

I enjoyed it. I actually liked the combat more than any of the previous iterations, except I didn't like what they did with the Eidolons/GFs/Aeons; I actually liked the FF8 summons from the FF titles I've played. The linearity was also welcome, as I'm not a fan of random battles at all except perhaps Pokemon, so only having to run along paths was great. I actually thought the open part was one of the least interesting parts in the game. The story was great as well. I especially liked Sahz & his story.
