Flop, for all the hype, you'd think they'd have more content...especially considering the disgusting amount of advertising within.
I think they are getting participation and spending in there from more casual gamers than us , and even some hardcore gamers probably use it from time to time. I wouldn't call it a failure (unless that is a personal preference of yours and you just don't see the point of it). There's a lot of simple fixes and additions they could add to make it a lot better than it is now ..... things that have already been implemented elsewhere. Hopefully they can get a nice big update on that , then add in the content sharing and hall of fame , and more unlockables and game related items. People love to obtain stuff ..... trophies and achievements have taught us that.
I like how people are trying to provide positive spin. HOME is a joke, for a system of supposed more power, why is type chat the only way to communicate. The other funny thing is watching the 12 year olds get into flame wars. This HOME is boring...
i Isn't it sitll in the beta? Only inasmuch as it allows Sony to use the excuse "it's still in beta" whenever someone complains about the service. Seriously, check out this article.[QUOTE="Animal-Mother"][QUOTE="death919"]

You hit the nail on the head. By keeping Home in "beta", it gives Sony the perfect excuse whenever someone complains about it.

Right. Whate else do you call it when its never done? Whaat else do you call it when its always adding more content and more spaces? At what point do you say its "done.?" What a joke.It is an immense flop. It was so bad that I never used it after the first time I went on (I know this would happen way b4 it came out). It is so bad that whenever I pick PS Home instead of the store on the XMB, I get pretty close to chucking my controller......but then PS Home will be stuck on the screen, so I tap the PS button like a mad man so I can quit the game.

it failed me because it offers like none of the promised features that where suppose to make it a gaming community. It needs to be better organized to make it like a Sim like forms room.
for the people that use "its in bate stage" as an excuse just stop. home is ALWAYS going to be in a beta stage because theyre always experimenting with new things and ideas. they way they use beta is like the thing isnt complete and in fact it isnt cause like i said, theyre always trying to offer and do new things with it. that being said, i dont like home at all. all the minigames i want to do are always full not to mention its chock fulla*** clownsthe whole idea that was home in its planning stage was ruined one people infested its domain. ill say it sucks with the potential to be good...

But we don't ignore the new XML features do we? We don't say, "well they already said it was a final release, so the new stuff doesn't count." No. We don't do that. So, what does it matter what its called? The fact remains its an ever changing service. And we aren't talking about changes every 6 months or something. Nor are we talking about a few updates here and there and then done. Its an ever-growing service, that changes monthly and sometimes even weekly. All that Sony is doing with the "beta" tag is telling people that there is still a lot more to come. Nothing more. And I don';t see how that's false.AND THEY NEED TO STOP NICKLE AND DIMING PEOPLE TO DEATH. seriously......paying real money for virtual gear? somebody needs to be slapped for that idea....SERIOUSLYslvrraven9If you choose not to buy those virtual items, how does it affect you?

I think it is still to early to determine success or failure. Home has made Sony some decent money with the microtransactions and there always seems to be a good amount of traffic whenever I have looked in. The EA area seems like it could shape up to be a pretty cool area once the driving range and other planned events arrive. I know not a single person in System Wars is qualified to give any sort of factual answer to this question so it all seems a bit moot.
Alot like this place huh? However here we are daily.A complete and total waste of my time.

Just press the triangle when "Home" is highlighted and delete.I wish I could remove the Home logo thing off of my PS3 dashboard. I puke in my mouth a little everytime I see it.

I was in the beta before the beta became open to everyone. I played it for about 2 or so hours then never touched it till open beta... Played it 20 mins to see if anything changed... Then never touched it till 2009. Played it after I got KZ2 with in game cloths based on the game. Still nothing changed except for some new dev areas and a new plaza. I played it last month again to see if anything was new... Againall I seenis thatthey changed the plaza again.
It's a bunch of fail IMO. All this time and they still have nothing to show for it.

So, Sony should have run the MS route and charged just to get into the service and that would have been better? Seriously?
