Was The Xbox 720 Cancelled?

First we were suppose to hear about the 720 in March,  30 days after the PS4 announcement.  

Nothing

Then we were suppose to hear about the 720 in April.  That now has been hushed up.

Suddenly,  theres silence.  Deafening silence.

Maybe Microsoft realized they cant compete with the PS4 and have cancelled the 720?

Or did they delay it so they can boost the hardware in order to compete with the PS4?

Maybe they just wanna announce it when they feel like it. Yup that's probably it.

They want to steal the spotlight at E3 with their Kinect 2 and Dance Central for the 720.

Its not that simple Im afraid

If the Xbox 720 is released in its rumored form,  as in underpowered but overpriced thanks to forced apps like Kinect and a TV tuner,  it will be dead on arrival.  Microsoft knows this so they're panicking.  Something is definitely wrong.  

Competition is good for the industry.  The steambox will fill the void left by the Xbox 720 just fine.  Im quite sure Microsoft has done the math and found cancelling the 720 now and losing money spent on research and development is better then producing a console that wont sell

They are probably trying to redo demos since they saw Killzone make Halo or whatever look like crap.Poor M$ though doesn't know that GG will come back with something even better :lol:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Microsoft themselves have never said when they were announcing the Nextbox. All those dates have been speculation.

Why even talk about it?  Kinextbox is for HFIL.  The best you can hope for is that for the first two or three years it will pretend to be a good gaming system.  It's like the Twilight of gaming.  Everyone should know what to expect but somehow people can't get enough and it sells.  Jump Out.
