[QUOTE="sainraja"][QUOTE="heretrix"][QUOTE="Paddy345"][QUOTE="MrPostman4Chi"] Live is only $50 dollars a year and you guys act like its $50 a month or sumthing. You pay $50 one time and wont have to worry about paying for a a whole year.I mean whats $50 a year???I mean i wish it was free too just like i wish everything in this word is free but $50 a year isnt bad at all.Like i said before i would rather pay $200 a year to use XBL then to only be able to use PSN for online gaming.

Then you are a complete fanboy, PSN is lag free, playing online for free with no lag is great, only thing live has over psn is features but i just wanna play online for free and buy content seperately, in live you have to pay to play and then pay more for content, noone is more gullible than you people
First of all that's total BS. I get lag all the time when I play Burnout Paradise on PSN.That's not BS. It must be your connection. I have been playing Burnout Paradise on the PS3 a lot lately and I have hardly experienced any lag....and when I have it wasn't enough to take anything away from playing it online. You barely could notice it.
Warhawk is an online-only title for the PS3 which you can play ONLINE with no problem. Barely any lag.
But anyway, I find it funny that the main thing about ONLINE gaming is, is playing with other people. It's not "being able to text other people while you are playing online." That's not it. It's being able to play others and that is what PSN allows people to do right now and to be honest, when it comes to consoles, I never really cared for online and I probably never would have tried it out if Sony charged for online, but going back to my main point, things like messaging, being able to read text messages is not something that is the most important part in playing online and the PS3 will get that later and it will be free. It is also free on the 360, isn't it part of the CONSOLE OS and not Live? The console has the ability to do it or Silver members can't read text messages in-game? Is that right? I doubt that.....so....if that feature, that live has over PSN, is also available to Silver members, how is that exactly an advantage Live has over PSN when Live doesn't even use dedicated servers for most of the games you can play using it? That feature is part of the 360 Dashboard, has nothing to do with Live, so you can't use that as an advantage that Live has, maybe the console, but not Live. The same applies to being able to get invites across games, that's a console feature. Part of the console experience....not Live. Live you have to pay for to enjoy....the only thing is there is no purpose to getting invited when you are not paying......in other words those features will be available on the PS3 with a firmware upgrade....it's only a temporary advantage, an advantage that should go to the console itself, not the service.
So, please, tell me.....how exactly is LIVE better than PSN? If were to get a 360 again, would I be able to play ONLINE out of the box?
Nope. That's what matters the most, being able to play others and no matter how you put it, you can't do that on Live unless you pay. You just can't.
Not to mention taking away features that were available to silver members for free and putting a time-limit on it and adding it to Gold isn't exactly a "good" benefit that Gold members get.
Cry and try to downplay the features associated with LIVE all you want. Fact is PSN is a joke! Free or not.
In fact I'm GLAD you Sony fans who support PSN don't pay for it cause then you would TRULY be getting ripped off. Hell Sony knows better then to charge for that crap.
You really didn't address anything I said.....and I never downplayed any feature. Those features are part of the console, not the Live service itself. Silver members can read/write text messages in-game, is that not correct? If so, how is that an advantage Live has over PSN instead of an advantage that 360 currently has over PS3?
If you don't know, some games on the PS3 allow you to do that already. It's just not part of the system yet and when it is, what advantage will Live have over PSN? The ability to "charge" people so they can unlock their "Paid Microsoft Money" achievement?
The service isn't crap. You're actually downplaying PSN here. I can get on Warhawk right now and join a game and play with other people.....and that's really what matters when it comes down to it.
