8.0
360 got the same score.
Good score. I bet it would have been higher if it had more characters but other than that it looks very good. I can't wait to get back in town to go up to the local game shop to throw down against the employees and owner.
I agree with this statement. Apox on you SF4 fans.Still a better game than SFIV. Better online, better gameplay, better style, etc.

And only a month late. GJ Gamespot review team. :P
I know it's sad, but I haven't bought it yet. I'm getting it around the time I get Tekken 6 for 360 (I'm getting the Special Edition w/fight stick.)
[QUOTE="Cherokee_Jack"]Somewhat. It's still a great score though.*sigh*
So, any Blazblue fans scandalized?

8 /10 isGreat I'm still undecided whether to get this or KOF I guess I'll rent both I cant have 2 morefighters at once.
I just hope we dont get a newbatch of user reviews with Gamespot are idiots and this a 10 headlines.
Meh, I hoped it would get AAA, but I guess you also have to be an anime fan to really get into it, which does explain the IGN score.
So because it's not noob friendly and doesn't have more than 12 characters it gets an 8? :s wtf!
EDIT: Upon looking at the gameplay vid they have with the review on the first page I can see why he thought it wasn't accessible enough.. he isn't even playing rachel properly.
Good score. Don't know why anyone would be upset over it.SpinoRaptor24Because it's a 9. Anything lower is just...WRONG!
Read the review, not the "Good/Bad" section. Their scoring system doesn't work that way, anyway. So because it's not noob friendly and doesn't have more than 12 characters it gets an 8? :s wtf!

Good score. Don't know why anyone would be upset over it.SpinoRaptor24Because the Guilty Gear/BlazBlue fanboys would love to see a break from the boasting of the SF4 fanboys....which it seems like this review won't stop outside of GS.
Can't blame him, Rachel is rather hard. I think he should've really used more Sword Iris, rather than use the rods as projectiles and then wasting them with his Special. So because it's not noob friendly and doesn't have more than 12 characters it gets an 8? :s wtf!

I did read it.... I honestly couldn't tell what the hell they were complaining about so I just went with the good/bad part. Noisy presentation? Really? What do they mean by that O.O, and I am surprised they didn't mention characters interact differently with each other. Such as noel vs ragna.. she tells him he is wanted etc..

Upon playing Button Bash Blue my guess was right on. Its an 8.0 compared to SFIV's 9.0
Very fun game and very different compared to the SF forumula. I like it but it does have flaws the rank it below SFIV imo. Still a great game and a good pickup. Everyone should be picking this up with the $60 they saved off of KOF after that GS review.

Alot of rachel combos are string together using wind to push her to deliver more hits, I didn't think he realised that since he was just sort of doing it randomly ;P

Isn't that fairly common for a fighting game? I remember that in Soulcalibur II.Can't blame him, Rachel is rather hard. I think he should've really used more Sword Iris, rather than use the rods as projectiles and then wasting them with his Special.[QUOTE="siLVURcross"]

Yea that's what I thought. I tend to abuse Sword Iris though, it's fun to cast lightning.Saw a somewhat decent Rachel online and he used the wind a lot to his advantage, didn't think of that :P

A bit. But I can see where he's coming from. If you're used to Street Fighter and Tekken, it's certainly a glaring change of pace. And if you go online without at least something of a gameplan and a few combos, you're likely to get torn apart. Hell, forget about online, you'll get torn apart by the AI.
Music and flashiness were all great too, at least for me. But he almost makes unique characters sound negative, which is completely ridiculous. I WANT to play different characters, not just different skins of Ryu. (Joking, alright, Street Fighter fans?)
Thankfully, I was an avid Guilty Gear player. The only part I disagree on is the fact that it's a faster paced game. Then again, I used Millia in Guilty Gear. lol.

For sure. Though they are rather annoying online. Nothing but spamming Noel's and flying Jin's. Am I the only Taokaka main around? :( Doesn't make it easier when one of the trophies is to face every character online...haven't seen a single Bang player yet.Oh dear god. I just watched that pathetic excuse of a match they posted with the review. No wonder he didn't like it more :?
So because it only has 12 characters which play VERY differently compared to one another as opposed to a game which has 19 characters where half of their moves are shared with other characters and a lot of them play ~50-75% the same as another character. It's a bad thing
The online system is WAY better than SFIV, with so many more features. The Gameplay is better than SFIV. 80% of the people aren't using the same character online. The characters all play so very differently from each other. And it looks better than SFIV. And of course it scores less than SFIV.
Should have been AAA.

I love how in the SF4 vs. BlazBlue Grudge Match that IGN did, the only arguement that the guy representing SF4 presented was literally "SF4 is better" :lol:So because it only has 12 characters which play VERY differently compared to one another as opposed to a game which has 19 characters where half of their moves are shared with other characters and a lot of them play ~50-75% the same as another character. Oh yeah because Drive Spamming Noel with mix ups, cross ups, and mashing in supers is really difficult lol. The games timing is not as strict as SFIV's. Hell I didn't even want this to be a SFIV vs Button Bash Blue thread but hey you wanted it. Button Bash Blue's timing is in no way as strict as SFIV's. Where you need to have strictly timed links in SFIV like Guilty Gear Button Bash uses chains. You just dial along the button or mash in your inputs for very forgiving results.
Hell pulling off an Inferno Divider on all three parts you can be mad sloppy with it and it still comes out. I'll get destroyed against anyone? lol yeah okay. Drive Tech with Noel and if you've pretty much made it a freaking guessing game on their defense where you can go for huge damage.
Ken Fighter IV? Haha now those noobs are the ones that anyone can beat.
Apprantly a lot of people love Taokaka. I haven't seen any. The only time I've ever faced a Taokaka is when people copy what I choose on the character select screen. Am I the only Taokaka main around? :( Doesn't make it easier when one of the trophies is to face every character online...haven't seen a single Bang player yet.You get used to them. There're always openings in Noel's chain revolver combos, and Jin's icecars are just asking to be punished if you block them. I was a Tao player, but you need to be seriously fast to control her. I've switched to Jin main and Tao second. She's still my favorite character, but I don't have to reflexes for her combos, especially with the drive cancels.

Good range, good attack, and pretty damn fast. Plus her Drive lets me zoom around the screen. 12 Characters is too little now and days even if its their first entry in the series. I hope you aren't talking about SFIV having 19 characters where all of the moves are shared lol.
If people chooose the same character a lot thats not something you can fault on the score of the game. SFIV has Ken, Ryu, Akuma. Button Bash Blue has Jin, Noel, and Ragna. I love the random 80% percentage though.
Arakune, Rachael, V13 easily outclass all the other fighters. The game deserved the score it got and it was the score I predicted. A great game. Its just a little below SFIV.
