:| not funny much. Who doesent love 1up?
When they gave Bully a 10 everyone seemed to hate them. I guess when your game is being praised It doesnt matetr how discreditable ect...you are. (I.E Play Magazine and Lair)
Yes it is pretty sad that cows are using sites and mags like Gamezone and Play to justify getting Lair, LOL!!!
Yes just because EGM gave Lair a bad review does not mean it will be a terrible game, because all first impressions from GS, IGN and whatnot have said nothing but good things about the game. I am sure there is justification in giving it a lower score because it does not support analog controls and only uses the tilt sensors, but as to how much EGM knocked it was rediculous.
Reading about how there is no option to turn it off makes me not want to play the game. Just like Motorstorm, except Motorstorm had the option, which is why I thought it was a good game. If they would have actually made me use the tilt sensors the whole game, I would have probably thrown the controller and game out the window.
Lets face it. No one likes the sixaxis. If Sony can, they need to bring back rumble and dump the sixaxis crap. Of course there are games that will use it the right way, ala MGS4, but is one game enough to justify this disaster? I think not.
People seem to say the same thing about the Wiimote, that it is not being used to it's fullest capabilities and I have to agree with that. Same goes for Sixaxis, both controllers have the potential to be great for certain games but I agree that you should have the option of using either analog controls or the tilt sensors with the Sixaxis controller. But for flight combat games, I think Sixaxis and the Wiimote have the potential to provide a better control scheme then analog sticks do, I am sure any veteran PC gamer who played Rogue Squadron on the N64 or GC would agree that controls are much better in flight games with a joystick, the Sixaxis is somewhat of the alternative. I hated the tilt controls in Motorstorm though, they were poorly calibrated which was a big problem I think.
