what are some of the reasons that will cause u not to buy a next gen console

360: if they did not fix the dpad (to have separate buttons). now since they are releasing their 3rd console there is no excuse to not fix a problem that every1 is annoyed with.

wiiu: if they did not release mario games on it (i dont think they wont lol)

ps4: no proper backward compatibility = no buy for me

this gen is the reason I'm not currently looking into buying the next gen consoles.

Wii U: I will definitely purchase it. The only way I wouldn't purchase it is if Nintendo stopped making Consoles.

PS4: The only way I wouldn't purchase it is if it didn't have great exclusives.

NeXbox: The only way that I would purchase it is if Microsoft does the exact opposite of what they are doing now; Hardly any 1st Party exclusives and Kinect crap. If they drop Kinect and their first parties start making games I want I will purchase it.

If they continue removing content and selling it as DLC and continue with their Online Pass.

If Microsoft and Nintendo continue their tactics into next gen i would not buy them.

PS4 is the only console i have my eye, and with Sonys current money situation im a little nervous at what they might have to do, but i'll stay optimistic.

Reason not to get it right away. I think tons of people will have them, but eventually I will get one.

All it takes is a must play game to release. I dont think anyone will be tempted just for something the consoles itself have like a stupid app

every time i have used it the correct weapon, map, camera angle or whatever else i asked it to do went off without a hitch.

i hav the new dpad it still suck, maybe not as much but it still near impossible to play games like street fighter with them. floating dpad are bad for precision separate buttons are necessary.

the 36- controller is very good but the dpad for precision games does not work. infighting games u need to do move like quarter circle forward or back or double quarter circles, the 360 dpad does not work well for those types of input.

360: Freakin' Kinect! That's the only reason. If the next Xbox is too casual, I'm putting my middle finger to it.

PS4: None! I'll get it in day 1.

TC, seriously, you have to be an idiot to not to buy the PS4 because BC is missing. BC is never any good, just keep the PS3 and play games on it.

sony has a history of not supporting their console the first 2 to 3 years. the ps3 was trash until 3 years has passed since its release and the psvita is going through the same thing the ps3 has went through. proper backward compatibility is a deal breaker for me. imo the wiiu is the best console next gen (im a big fan of platformers). as for xbox i like it but its dpad is limiting my gamin on the machine, now im buying fighting games again on ps3 because of how hard it is for me to play them on the xbox.

Price and games will stop me until there is a nice equilibrium between a bunch of games I want to play and the price of the system being something I'm willing to spend.

I understand why that is an issue, but what I don't understand is why you would buy a console that doesn't have enough good games to justify the purchase? The price always drops and if you waited until there were enough games, you'd probably pay way less money for it.

I've come to the realization that PC has everything I want and will continue to evolve even when the new consoles are out. Though I'll probably end up buying the consoles just for the exclusives.

For example the 360 having no games is not a good indication for the nextbox. And I don't like to pay for something I can get for free on other systems so again not a good indication for the nextbox.

Well, I don't see it as a fact because I disagree. PS3 was awesome from day 1 for me.

The truth is that the picture quality from BC is bad because it is run by software emulation which is no where as close as the native console in terms of quality. No point bothering about BC. It's useless.

I never touch my consoles... my PC takes up all of my gaming time. PC just has more interesting games to me.

I like gaming so I would buy one console one way or the other but if Sony makes their online service like XBL where you need to pay to play online then I would wait maybe a year or 2 before I buy one.
