[QUOTE="KiZZo1"]its a good game on its own. just bad max payne game. cutscene after cutscene and terrible story, too much shooting and nothing to do, no exploring, no atmosphere.Max Payne 3.

So the game somehow has cutscene after cutscene with too much shooting and still has nothing to do? :?

While talking about the Max Payne series who's claim to fame was hardly the exploration, and more so because of the excellent action. The atmosphere and plot being leagues behind the first 2 is definitely noteworthy though.[QUOTE="seanmcloughlin"][QUOTE="SNIPER4321"] its a good game on its own. just bad max payne game. cutscene after cutscene and terrible story, too much shooting and nothing to do, no exploring, no atmosphere. jg4xchamp

But his statement is so contradictory
Uncharted 3 by far. Bought a Playstation 3 with Uncharted 3 in a bundle early this year, god awful game that holds your hand the whole way through with a crap ton of aliasing. Can't believe cows hype that piece of garbage, as far as PS exclusives go God of War is way better imo.achilles614
Uncharted 3 was last year not this year
It was more long term dissapointment with Twisted Metal.
I loved the actual gameplay at first (when I finally got the game to work).
But then the lack of balance online really hurt it. All the Talon dudes would just fvck everyone up with Snipers. The starting cars sucked compared to later, meaning progressing through the ranks meant constant thrashings until you finally got enough Xp for rank 2 cars. Add that with the total lack of support by the guys at Eat Sleep Play and David Jafffe, who would rather blog about his stupid opinion instead of fixing the stupid game.
Split-screen is still decent fun though
i dont buy bad games.

played doesn't equal brought
In my case it would be deux ex human revolution, for some reason I just can't get into the game, It's odd I was really looking forward to play it
Super Mario 3D Land
I've only played a few games that actually released this year so my choice is a little unconventional.

i guess you're right, i'll go fix my post:P
Ninja Gaiden 3, Silent Hill: Downpour. Everything else pretty much met my expectations, including RE6 (which I think is great).

Mass Effect 3 for the ending. Oh and for all of the people saying "bu but its the journey not the destination" yes most of the game was good but when you screw up the ending to a franchise that has been building up the endgame for several years it can ruin the game.
Guild Wars 2 Before people yell, im sure its a great game, its my first MMO i just wanted to try it out but i didnt like it in the end. The game is gorgeous though ill give it that i might have to play it just to see everything there is to see, hell the map is pretty. Wait, forgot about ME3, im switching to that, at least GW2 was pretty.murat8
Guild Wars 2 is my first proper MMO too, and I bought it because it looked so fresh and exciting. It's quite hard to get around, there are a lot of concepts I don't understand. The tutorials could be alot better (I believe every MMO should have a mode where it's made for people entirely new to the genre) but play with friends who can teach you what to do and how, and it's a hell of a lot of fun. Get some friends to play WvW with you, and co-ordinate attacks and stuff. It's real fun.
I guess Mass Effect 3. I mean, I only got into the series as a result of all the controversy over the ending ( I've had the first one for years and decided I should play it if a bad ending could cause people to get so agitated) so it wasn't like I had any delusions that it would be a satisfying conclusion. But yea, that ending was pretty bad even with the extended one. I haven't even seen what the ending was originally like.
I haven't purchased a 2012 release to call disappointing.
I was disappointed with Deus Ex Human Revolution if that counts. I might go back to it to give it another shot, but it was like, just an OK shooter. :/

The problem you have with Deus Ex is that you're treating it as an FPS.
You realize you're supposed to go the stealth approach right?

That wasm't the problem. I tried the stealth route for the most part.My problem was one of the 1st quests where you have to retrieve a dead body, i screwed up with the police guy an then I had to sneak in some other way. I just got frustrated with it.

Not necessarily, it's entirely possible to play it all out. Course stealth is a hell of lot more fun and the more interesting path to take.No offense but anyone who doesn't say diablo is wrong.blue_hazy_basicMeh, I got my worth out of that game from like 60 hours of game time.
