3. The time of the third party exclusive is over. Devs have no reason to make something on 720 but not PS4 unless they hate money.

With the streaming features of the PS4, it's likely PSN will actually have more features than XBL next gen. I really don't see what the new XBL could do that the new PSN won't.

Expect the worst, hope for the best.  The worst being Kinect, Kinect Usher concert, and more Kinect, XBL fee going up due to more media features, weaker hardware than the PS4, focus more on media features and services than games, and Don Mattrick being the one trying to sell you on it.

The best being new IP's, XBL goes free, powerful console that is close to or on par with the PS4, new controller with a better D-pad and built in rechargeable battery, showing off some 3rd party games, announce PGR5 for launch, tease Halo 5, and have anybody other than Don Mattrick on stage.

New Halo (Halo 5) teaser trailer reveal. The game may release 2014, but showing that at the end of the conference, even a poor Kinect 2 focused conference, will ensure posters in SW will remember they actually loved the entire show. Even if the show was mostly riddled with explaining by the suits on why great Kinect 2/HD is so great, and how we are going to need it next generation. Another thing they could do is put in 16GB of RAM, even if it's not BA GDDR5 RAM, and people will flip out in SW at least for the next say, six years based on the 16GB vs. 8GB. It's also crucial to remember that 720 Rumors did put the 720 at 4GB, but that I'm sure is changing now. Of course, I think with cost, they may just go 8GB matching the PS4 8GB, but perhaps not spending the dough to go GDDR5. The idea is their software dept. could make up the slack where Sony's hardware advantages come into play.

I think for sure now the idea of no used games will be killed off. The Wii U and PS4 support used games, M$ can't afford to be the only console in town not doing used games.

A low price point, probably two models will be revealed.

Also, perhaps a new Xbox Live Tier is introduced, like a suggestion of mine from 2005, Xbox Live Platinum.

Actually rumours were that the PS4 had 4GB RAM (but faster) whilst the 360 had 8GB (slower)

I think allowing XBLA games to transfer, and maybe even achievements to the new Xbox would be great. Would love a PGR5 as well. And a cheaper price. I think Sony is waiting on Microsoft to announce their price before they do. Perhaps see how Microsoft is going to handle the subscription model before copying it.

I know that regarding the PS4s RAM rumors, and I've said as much before here and in other forums way before the post you quoted above. Just for reference, link of me talking about the PS4s 4GB of RAM rumor days ago.

Needless to say, there have been a LOT of rumors including the 720 having both 4gigs and 8gigs. After this showing, I'm sure M$ will at least match Sony's RAM in terms of GB, even if they didn't plan to do so before. Of course, they may also go with 4GB, or even 16GB. I've heard so many rumors over the last year or two as I have followed the Wii U, 720, and PS4 rumors rather closely. Whatever happens, happens. I'm not worried regarding the RAM, I was just making a quick point, and I didn't pigeonhole any rumors as more official than any others. In the end, it's pointless to argue over speculation honestly. Better just to wait. I wanted to just let you know I was well aware that Sony pulled a fast one in letting the world believe they had 4GB, even so far as devs seem to find out last minute that it has 8GB.

PGR probably won't happen unless the Forza Horizon guys drop Horizon and move to PGR. Bizzare are dead.

Price wars are going to happen, but both the 720 and PS4 prices haven't been unveiled. Both companies are ironing out issues, working PR spin, and strategizing against the competition.

Really? Since most 3rd Parties are Multiplat, all MS has to do is have a close to as powerful console at a cheaper price and people will play Madden and COD on it. People mock another Halo but Sony keeps trying to force the Killzone series. Killzone is just a not as good Halo-clone. When Killzone: Shadow Falls comes out, we would have had the privilge of playing 6 Killzone games. If they make XBL Gold like PSN+ by including free games and discounted content that would put XBL ahead of PSN once again.

MS's plan should be focus on hardware and price(the two major things Sony forgot to do) and they would have won the announcement war.

Sure, xbox 360 gave me Oblivion console exlusive for years, Alan Wake exclusive for years, Mass Effect 1 first, Lost Odyssey (my top JRPG this generation by miles), Tales of Vesperia, Star Ocean 4 first, Blue Dragon (loved this one), Kamoe, Banjo 3, Viva Pinata etc

I liked Fable 3 too, but the Fable atmsphere, monsters is largly gone and is not even remotly as epic and fairy tale like older ones and now they moved to Kinect

Rare is now in .... sports games (for the love of god, the guy that decided this must be mentaly unstable)

Also i dont see MS going for JRPGs again

In short, every single reason i loved xbox 360 for seems to be gone and does not seem any of them will make a come back sadly

I still am a 360 fanboy, i had like 90% more fun on my 360 than PS3 this generation and only now PS3 is gettign serious (excluding Demons Souls of coufrse), with Ni no Kuni and many other titles i want to play

PS4 is a different beast, it already has all the epic stuff (FF 15 Agnes, Deep Down, Witcher 3, Dark Souls 2) i want to play, plus best graphics

EPIC console already

So, yes, losing interest in Microsoft systems/their direction in gaming

Unless they announce some epic exlusive medieval RPG of course :)

2. LMAO! Forza trumps GT......dafuq? Pretty sure GT is a WAY bigger franchise than Forza. This is a fact. A GT6 announcment would generate far more buzz than a Forza announcement.You don't see me claiming that if a new Halo was announced it would be trumped by Killzone. I'm not making absurd claims so I respectfully ask you not to either.

3. Timed esclusive DLC is possible. Timed exclusive games are not. If you expect that then just get ready for disappointment.

6. Lol, yeah it did. Microsoft put most of their first party attention in to kinect. By pushing kinect so much their first part releases suffered compared to PS3. All we had was a Halo, Gears and Forza released every few years. The rest has been purely kinect. Meanwhile PS3 had plenty of quality first party released over the years, though I will admit last year was an exception for PS3(with that said Twisted Metal was pretty boss). But then PS3 has a killer lineup in the first half of 2013 to make up for last year, while the 360 once again has nothing but Gears.I expect a kinect focus next gen without many really good first party titles until the typical Halo/Forza releases.

7. Like I said I doubt the price difference will be significant, if there even is a price difference. Expect the new kinect to jack up the price of the system to make the inferior hardware to PS4 mean nothing when it comes to price.

Other than a generic "Next gen XBL will be better than PSN!", how about you give some examples of what they could add to Live that the new PSN isn't already doing? Considering Microsoft's current path and what they have done to the 360, I can't expect anything good from them.

Unless its new IPs nothing. sony set the bar, I don't know how they plan to elevate it though I expect them to meet it with ease.
