What Characters do you use in 2D Fighters?

Sweet another Yun user. I'm just happy to see the new guys in Street Fighter get some love. They have been out for 10 years now, yet people still talk about Ryu, Gouki, Ken, and Chun. Yun is a beast, and his style is S-class top nnotch.

I like using the fast fighters. E. Honda may be a bad jumper but he can be quick.

I have EX3, Skull and Chun-Li were my regulars; I loved the end where you get to beat up the characters during the credits. Good times.

I only have a couple issues with some of the 2D fighters. Where the hell is Andy Bogard? He's been absent since 2003. He wasn't even in Capcom vs SNK. I guess Andy isn't the Ken equivelent to Ryu :|

Secondly how the hell has Terry's Team not won a KOF Tournament? Come on SNK show your biggest character some love and not these stupid flame wielding losers like Kyo, Lori, and K' (even though I like K')

So, my favorite character is Guile easily. Remy is a clone of him in SF3.

That's not it. Why do you thing Capcom is doing another rerelease of SF2 instead of make 4 ? SF EX proved it couldn't be successful in 3D. There are still plenty of 2D fighting games that get released like Neo Geo Battle Collisuem, Melty Blood, King of Fighters ( not the maximum impact crap ),Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, andSengoku Basara X which is being co developed by Capcom and Arc Systems. The lack of 2D fighting games is in part of Capcom's fault. They haven't released a new one that is good since CvsSNK2.kage_53

Street Fighter 3was slaughter by the 3-d fighters. Not only did SF3 was the most expensive project for Capcom back then, but 2-d fighter were becoming a thing of the past. Boy did they lose a butt load of money off SF3...They couldn't wait to port it to the Dreamcast (side note: Capcom was very upset with Sony for tellingdevelopers that they want games in 3d and not 2d, thus supporting Sega 100% with there games). However, theydidn't make up the money for it even on the Dreamcast. SF3 despite being the best SF ever, lost a lot of money for Capcom. They got it back with the remakes, and the popularity of SBO, EVO, Ranbats around the world.This is why they stayed away from 2d fighter.

Albeit I'm a huge fan of random selection or even letting my opponent pick for me, great way to really push your limits.

LOL it's "bro", and while my tag is related to probably the slowest genre ever (RPG), I really enjoy quick pick up genres with some substance like FPS and fighters.

Some of my best gaming memories was when I was younger and played SF. :)

Oddly my first fond memories of said moves were more on the receiving end than the delivery. :P I was relatively young, especially against those I played so it was mostly a large amount of punishment. However, time and time again of losing can be a great tool if the person losing understands that losing can be a great teacher.

And the peolpe I still play with know that I'm not a huge fan of charge attacks (Sonic Boom, or the Flash Kick for examples).

Terry cannot hold his hand up and generate fire like those guys with their sacred flames or whatever. Or K' with his gaunlet so he can control the flame.

Terry has flame attacks but he doesn't wield a flame power like Ash Crimson or those above. Uh just thinking about Kyo, Lori, and K' beating down Terry makes me wanna puke. SNK seems hellbent on having the same characters and the same type of characters win the tournament. But hey, unlike Street Fighter at least we know without a shadow of a doubt who wins.

Did anyone ever have an answer for SNK not showing any love to Andy Bogard? I mean man he just dropped off the face of the map. I mean I thought he was a popular character. You have Ken and Ryu, Lori and Kyo, then Terry and Andy. Well except there is never Andy anymore and they packed him off and sent him to Japan for the Ninja thing. Man he didn't even make it into Capcom vs SNK 2 :cry:

lol, i remember my first hadoken, i was estatic as i'd never done it b4 and had tried it numerous times(i was quite young then), it used to be fun watchin' my older cousins play.
