what do you expect in X-Box 720 ? And can the PS3 compete wz it?

lol you do realise that outside of the console war (and system wars) that Sony and Microsoft are not partiularly big competitiors. Many of the media codecs, even one used in Blu-ray are licenced by Microsoft and by your logic, I'm sure windows wouldn't be allowed on Sony Vaio laptops?

Also, to the few people saying that its too early to release a new console yet. You're correct but the TC isn't talking about Microsoft 'releasing' a new console at E3, the question is whether they announce something at E3. If they release some information, they may not actually release the console for another 2 years :lol:

there are strong rumors that M$ is planning to announce the new Xbox this year at E3, the jump between the original xbox and the x360 wasn't that big, so naturally i am not expecting so much but M$ now realizes that Sony can bring new ideas and strong hardwared like bluray and the Cell so M$ should consider that.

if the rumors are true, then we shall see the PS3 aganist x72 face to face for at least 2-3 yrs ( Sony is still commited to 10 yrs life span), does the PS3 have any chance in this compitition? will the companies still support it despite its hard developmnets? is it going to sell as Sony expects?

I think the next Xbox will be a beast of a gaming machine at the time of release, but the leap won't be as big as the difference between XBOX and X360. The biggest improvement will be in the GPU power and the amount of RAM. The CPU will probably be similar, but more cores. The PS3 at that time will probably still be improving itself in terms of graphics. But no....it can not compete with a next gen machine, unless it's a Nintendo..hehe.

This gen Sony made alot of mistakes. They tryed to get into the CPU marked with the Cell, while trying to win the BD vs HDDVD war, and at the same time making a gamemachine. They won't make these mistakes with the PS4, it will probably be more aimed at gaming and will be powerfull enough to have amazing titles. But then again, Sony could sit the whole next generation through without releasing any PS4, to maybe get a head start the generation after.

If they do for the love of god I hope its not called the "Xbox 720"... they need to break the trend of using the same name consoles like "****2, 3, 4..." so on and keep each new console fresh.
