What exactly do people see in a Zelda game to get so hyped?

And I don't think brand loyalty has anything to do with it. I had a cynical view towards Zelda tbh, I was ready to roll my eyes with the 'here we go again' opinion. Zelda hasn't interested me since OoT. But this actually looks incredible.

Sony has been kicking Nintendo's ass for over a decade on console. They have been owned so hard Nintendo is not even trying to compete with Sony any more. All the 3rd parties ran to Sony like Nintendo had cooties.

That's probably why Nintendo has supreamly higher metacritic and sales.

Also the reason Sony ripped off Super Smash bros. Or why both Microsoft and Sony attempted to rip off the wii.

Seems there are plenty of nintendo fanboys left. I thought they would have died out by now. Agree with the TC, zelda has been lame since for a long time pathetic nintendo still clinging to there former glory all they can do these days is rehash the same crap for the 2000000000 time.

@Timstuff: so go play dark souls. Every zelda thread is the SAME 7 people complaining about the SAME damn thing that nobody cares about. give it a rest already. The game looks good. It had a great trailer. thats what E3 Is about....to hype the fans on the next game for there fav franchises.

Yes by SW standards the last 2 zeldas flopped so i agree some iffy thoughts can be said about this new one. But in the real world they didnt. Bloodbourne looks honestly the exact same as DS But nobody is saying anything about that. Maybe bcause it has a dark atmosphere idk.

The shxt i read hear now is unbearable.

Folks like their Zelda. A Link to the Past really is one of the most timeless games ever made. It still feels good, doesn't even feel a little old.
