Crysis 2 seems very likely
Some other guesses: Twisted Metal, Zelda, MGS Rising, Star Wars: ToR, DMC, Duke Nukem

Killzone 2.5
halo reach is halo 3.2Nah, Halo Reach is 9.5.. Halo Reach and KZ2 both have a 91 Metacritic, so your logic fails thereLG has had barely any info as far as I know. I don't see where the hype is coming from. It could be a masterpiece or a flop. The Last Guardian. I also loved ICO and SotC but ppl are overhyping the game a bit too much. Same happened to GT5.

Track record i believe. But the odd thing is that it´s track record only leads to AA games (great ones i have to admit)!

But while it's predecessors are widely acclaimed, with 90 metascores, and are among the closest things towards games as art - they both only scored AA here. The Last Guardian. So the hype is based on the devs track record? Not a good idea to get hyped off that alone :PLG has had barely any info as far as I know. I don't see where the hype is coming from. Ha, you nailed it with that :P[QUOTE="shinrabanshou"]It has pedigree. Like I said not a good thing to get hyped over.I expect it will score around 8.5 here. In the grand scheme of things it matters naught.
It's still my most anticipated game of 2011 and I'm comfortable trusting in Fumito Ueda and Team ICO to deliver a beautiful, different and poignant game, for now at least.

I can see why you're excited. It's just that many are claiming GOTY 2011 without much to go on. I'm hyped for the next Forza, but until I know much about it, I can't really say Racing game of this gen, GOTY, etc :P LG does look interesting though. I might end up getting as hyped as the rest of you hehe.Facepalm @ anyone who say Crysis 2.SNIPER4321Why is that exactly? I loved the original game and Warhead, and I still think it has one of the best chances of flopping. Crytek has yet to show any gameplay footage that reassures its progressive sandbox style of play.
Crysis 2, the move to consoles is a bad move IMO. Let the consoles have Halo for 360, Killzone for PS3, and let Crysis stay on PC.
It sucks. Crysis 2 would look and play amazingly on the PC.

They have. You just haven't been paying attention.
Real-time weapon customization + real-time Nanosuit customization - check
Items around the environment that can be used as weapons - check
Multiple playstyles - check
Increased maneuverability through the environments - check
^A section from the game, looks pretty similar to any Korean village section from the original Crysis.
It's more so of a concern on whether or not it'll keep its formula to the same extent as the original. I know a decent amount of elements from the original will be in Crysis 2, but the way it's all coming together I'm having trouble believing it'll be as fulfilling or satisfying. They have. FF13vs by miles, FF12 was mediocre, FF13 was th worst game i have playd in my life, FF14 was even worst (thank god i dont play MMOs)
So, FF13vs (which is 100% same for FF13 from the new videos and as bland and barren), is the most likely to flop like no game has flopped before

Is that supposed to be Chicago?
Z3lda: SS anything less than AAAA on SW's and it will be called a flop. My other guesse is Tekken Vs Street Fighter.Dibdibdobdobo
Even though Crysis looks good, I still think most console gamers don't even know what it is. Outside of this site, I don't know anybody that knows about the game.
I disagree with your statement about Zelda: SS. If anything, after what has been showed, the hype for the game has DIED down almost completely. I think it has lowered the standard for what people are expecting. Personally I have a feeling it will be one of the best 3D zeldas.

I would have to agree with Skyward Sword, after twilight princess I just dont have a good feeling about it. (I hated twilight princess..)
DNF even though i will love it cause its duke. Its gonna be held back much like GT5 long dev cycle and its gonnaa feel like its in the past but still awesome fun.

That is one of the few games I have no concern about. John Carmack is just too awesome. He IS the chuck Norris of game developing. I actually used him in the Chuck Norris jokes, but no one ever knew what the hell I was talking about. :PRAGE?

In terms of the whole SW metagame/mainstream gaming media thing? Gears 3. Already plenty of anti-hype, and even Gears 2 lacked purpose; barring a minor miracle on Epic's part, even the more brain-dead writers are going to struggle to score Gears 3 higher than AA.
In terms of my own special and unique tastes (as in, games I think could be great but probably won't be, as opposed to games like Gears 3 that I already think will be ****)? I guess I'd lean towards Crysis 2. There's a lot to like about it on paper, but translating that to the screen is going to be a hell of a challenge.
inb4JohnCarmackisageniusandi'mhatinjg4xchampJohn Carmack is a genius but not necessarily at making good games.
Also, im gonna throw my hat in teh Duken nukem Forever betting pool because I think reviewers are gonna be too jaded when they review it.
