Doom II on PC (my friend's PC, i couldn't afford one back then) in the mid-1990s and Doom on Sega32x (yeah I actually got one). During this time, it was during the 16-Bit era.
Goldeneye really, really broaden my FPS addiction.
James Bond Agent Under FIreRex369You play with all the bots on that level with the ski lift things?
Quake (Quakeworld) was the first game that really got me interested in the genre (you can probably guess why, seeing as how Quake is basically where online multiplayer gaming in general originated.)
As I think I've said before, I play FPS games almost exclusively for their multiplayer components. Singleplayer FPS games are, for the most part, extremely boring imo..but every now and then an exception comes along (S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was the last instance of this.) I'd have little interest in the genre without multiplayer.
Had no idea there graphics like that back then:shock:Robocop 3 for the Atari ST/Amiga/PC, One of the first FPS i remember Release possibly before Wolf 3D, it was deffinately around the same timeframe from what i remember. Counter-Strike in the year 2000.
I was primarily an RTS guy back then (StarCraft addict), but after playing Counter-Strike, I was hooked. I did play first-person shooters before Counter-Strike, such as Doom, Quake, and Half-Life, but Counter-Strike was the first game to get me addicted. Those were good days...
I lost lots of sleep because of that game.
