Goldeneye. I'm a longtime console gamer so back when I was young I never played any PC games. I had played and enjoyed games like Doom on the Saturn, but I wasn't that keen on the maze-like levels and keycard hunts which is what all FPS seemed to be back then. Goldeneye was something completely new. The mission objectives, the level design, the stealth, the weapons....everything. That really got me addicted. The multiplayer played a big part too as I imagine it would have for everyone. I went through a phase last-gen where I questioned whether or not I still liked the genre. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't understand why everyone loved Halo, to be it was boring and since many games last-gen were just clones of Halo....I didn't find too much to like. There were a few that stood out for me though. This gen things seem to have gone a lot better and I'm really enjoying plenty of FPS on Xbox 360. Even Halo 3! :o which surprisingly ended up possibly being my favorite FPS on the console.
The original ghost recon on the first xbox.That game and xboxlive got me back into games after like 10 years on not playing.Since then i have really enjoyed a lot of fps such as halo 1,2,3,the ghost recon series,return to castle wolfenstein,call of duty 2,3 and especially call of duty 4 modern warefare.I pretty much only play fps and sports games.
Never been addicted to any FPS, but I guess the closest thing would be Team Fortress 2 (and to some extent, the original). I don't think I've ever played any FPS more than TF2.
