Honestly nothing. Almost everything BF3 is doing a game in the past has done. Even still it will be a great game, no need to fix something that isn't broken.

Clearly you didn't research the battlefield series before creating this thread

Clearly you are wrong. I even own BF and COD games myself. Both of them have the same boring gameplay every year with new graphics, weapons, maps.

Then why do you buy them if you know this :|

that's kind of an unnerving question.... What if he bought it then learned it. Jeez

Well BF3 isn't a Bad Company game and hopefully the maps won't be so huge and boring this time.

mitu123

DICE said BF3 will have some of the biggest maps in the series.

Also some of the smallest by the looks of Metro. They're aiming to satisfy the audience of everyone.

[QUOTE="NerubianWeaver"]Nothing substantial. People just overpraise the BF series and join the Cod hate bandwagon but CoD is still the best online Fps this gen. lasseeb
I agree. But COD is far from the best online FPS this gen. Not even Battlefield is. The games are all so similar, with 5 hours uninteresting campaigns.

Proof he's never played battlefield before. He probably played Bad Company but nothing before that.

If you think the Battlefield series doesn't change just like CoD doesn't change every year then

you are extremely new to the FPS scene. CoD died after CoD2 (fact), and if you don't believe that then

like I said, you are new to the FPS scene.

So, please close this thread, there's way to much ignorance, stupidity and trolling going around.

Stream_Beta
FPS in general don't change.

[QUOTE="ShadowNinja87"][QUOTE="vashkey"] A Halo game has not come out every year... There are more Battlefield games than Halo games and Halo is an older series.

vashkey

Halo 3, 2007, Halo Wars 2008, Halo ODST , 2009, , Halo Reach 2010, Halo Remake , 2011, Halo 4 2012 . Plus the many halo map packs. Yea. Halo is not milked at all... You sir FAIL. And don't get me started on COD....

Halo Wars was in 2009 and you didn't prove anything. There wasn't a Halo game in 2002, 2003, 2006 or 2008.

There are six Halo games and Halo is a nine year old game franchise.

Battlefiled is eight years old franchise and there are eight Battlefield games... If you choose to ignore all the expansion packs and free to play online games.

Lets see...

2011 -Battlefield 3

2010 -Bad Company 2

2009 -1943

2008 -Bad Company

2007 -Battlefield 2: Modern Combat(not an expansion, it's a stand alone console title)

2006 -Battlefield 2142

2005 -Battlefield 2

2004- Vietnam

Thats eight straight years of releases, and thats not even counting expansions and free to play. Stop being such a fanboy. I'm not even defending CoD here but Battlefield fans criticizing CoD and especially Halo of being milked are hypocrits. Get off your high horse. Want to talk about failing?

BF2: Modern Combat was in 2005, so It's not eight straight years of releases.

But, still there are alot of games under the Battlefield name.

New? Nothing earth-shattering, but it seems a bit more refreshing because a full retail Battlefield doesn't get released every single year. Call of Duty/Modern Warfare games do.... and we're at the point now where that dilutes the impact of the franchise.

LOL wut? There was no BF game in 2007, and that's a 2005 game on PS2 and Xbox, 2006 on 360.

Yep, Metro is going to look like a pain in sets 2 and 3.

Just the name. I havent ever bought a battlefield game and dont plan on starting now.

kraken2109

If you've never played a battlefield game how can you make comments like that?

Demos and renting it. Its not as good as call of duty games. So thats why im never buying a battlefield game. If I wanted something different than call of duty then I would buy a game like aliens vs predator for multiplayer.

This all depends what you define as different. I'd consider multiplayer sandbox, objective and team based multipayer as different, especially one with a strategic layer and larger focus on tactics and player cooperation in the midst of a larger scale conflict, and the unique moments that all these variables generate, in the central Battlefield series, as different.

BF2: Modern Combat was in 2005, so It's not eight straight years of releases.

But, still there are alot of games under the Battlefield name.

Well 1943 was only $15 so it's not even a full game, BC1 never made it to the PC (neither did 1943), Vietnam. BF2, and BF2142 never made it to the consoles.

It's completely fragmented. No platform has seen early Battlefield releases.

Also the differences between Battlefield games is massive unlike CoD games. BF1943 compared to BF2142... hell you might as well compare conquest to Search and Destroy in CoD.

None of them are free from milkage, but at least Battlefield won't charge you for some new maps.

Whatever is not as popular is cooler, didn't you know? If a lot of people enjoy something it's because it' sucks.

When you're playing an intense 64 player conquest match on PC and are suppressing the enemy and covering your squad, while watching your friendly tank have a battle with another, and see a jet zoom over and take out the friendly tank, all while playing 1080p 60FPS w/ destructible environments, you'll understand.-RocBoys9489-
Ohhhh yeah!!!!!!
